“Clip” can mean very different things: a bookmark, extracted article text, editable text and images, or a screenshot that preserves appearance. Choose OneNote when you need either a visual capture or editable article content
OneNote’s documented modes address two different jobs. A screenshot of the page or a selected region is suited to keeping a visible appearance; Article mode is suited to retaining editable text and images. Its PDF page-range workflow is useful when the source is a PDF rather than a web page.

Choose Evernote when its capture modes and notebook organization fit your workflow
Evernote documents a broad set of modes, from a bookmark to full-page or screenshot capture, plus notebook and tag choices. Confirm that the specific mode you want is available in your browser, because the settings documentation says options can vary.
Choose a screenshot service when a visual record is the goal
A screenshot records rendered pixels, not editable article text or the underlying app state. Which option keeps a page editable rather than as an image?
OneNote’s Article mode is documented to save editable text and images. Notion and Evernote also support post-clip organization or editing workflows, but their documented capture does not guarantee that every source element will be retained.
