If you want a game that mixes stealth action with agile movement while you wait for Perfect Dark, start with Dishonored: Definitive Edition. It is the closest fit here for first-person stealth and flexible approaches, though its traversal is supernatural rather than parkour. Choose Splinter Cell: Blacklist for covert-agent gadgets and close combat, or Mirror’s Edge Catalyst if first-person parkour matters most.
What makes a good match for Perfect Dark?
Xbox Wire’s June 9, 2024 article about the reboot’s first gameplay trailer describes Perfect Dark as combining first-person shooter, immersive-sim, and stealth-action elements. It highlights melee and gunplay, stealth, gadgets, and objectives that can be approached in different ways. The article quotes the team’s description: “Team Perfect Dark doesn’t want this to feel like any one genre – it takes in elements of first-person shooters, immersive sims, and stealth-action, but blends them into a seamless whole.” The statement is attributed to the team in Xbox Wire’s article, not to a named individual. None of the picks below reproduces that entire announced combination. They each match a different part of it: first-person stealth and flexible routes, gadget-led espionage, or parkour-focused movement.
Compare the three picks
| Game | Strongest match | Stealth and combat | Movement and trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dishonored: Definitive Edition | First-person stealth action with several ways to tackle a problem | Stealth approaches and supernatural abilities support flexible play | Teleportation and other powers enable unusual traversal, but this is not realistic parkour or grounded spy action. Bethesda identifies the Definitive Edition and its included content on its official game page. |
| Splinter Cell: Blacklist | Covert-agent gadgets and espionage framing | Stealth-action with equipment and close-quarters combat | Parkour is not established as a defining feature in Ubisoft’s description. See Ubisoft’s game page. |
| Mirror’s Edge Catalyst | First-person parkour and fluid movement | Its appeal is movement-first, with tactile melee combat; it is not established here as a stealth-first game | The clearest choice if parkour is your priority, but an adjacent match rather than a full stealth-action substitute. GamesRadar discusses its parkour, perspective, narrative, and melee in its 2026 parkour-games guide. |
Dishonored: Definitive Edition is the closest first-person stealth-action fit
Pick Dishonored if you want stealth to shape how you move through a level and how you solve its problems. Bethesda’s official description points to abilities including teleportation, possession, and stopping time, and says they can enable stealth approaches. Its wording is: “Teleport for stealth approaches, possess any living creature, or stop time itself to orchestrate unearthly executions!” That is Bethesda’s game-description copy, not a quote from a named person.
#1 Best Overall
- EXPANSIVE CAMPAIGN: Many real-world locations have been captured using photogrammetry to recreate a living, immersive environment, and multiple infiltration and extraction points and kill list targets provide a whole new perspective on each mission. Take on the Nazi plot solo or work with a partner, with improved co-op mechanics allowing you to share ammo and items, give orders and heal each other.
- ADVANCED GUNPLAY PHYSICS AND TRAVERSAL: Use ziplines, slide down slopes and shimmy along ledges to reach the perfect vantage point, or to sneak past a sharp-eyed lookout. Factor in rifle stock and barrel options along with gravity, wind and heart rate while you line up your sights on the target.
- HIGH CALIBRE CUSTOMISATION: Use workbenches to customise and upgrade virtually every aspect of your weapon – change scopes, stocks, barrels, magazines and more. Rifles, secondaries and pistols all have a huge variety of options. On top of that you can select the ammo to suit your target, from armour-piercing right down to non-lethal.
- INVASION MODE – CAMPAIGN DROP IN PvP AND CO-OP: Invade another player’s Campaign as an Axis sniper and engage in a deadly game of cat and mouse, providing a new dimension to the challenge as you stalk your prey. Alternatively, as Karl you can call for assistance and have a second sniper drop in to help you out of a tricky situation.
- TENSE ADVERSIAL MULTIPLAYER: Customise your character and loadout and earn XP, medals and ribbons as you take on intensely competitive 16 player battles that will really test your sharpshooting skills. If co-op’s more your style, you can team up with up to 3 other players against waves of enemies in Survival mode.
The important distinction is that these abilities create agile, unconventional traversal, not parkour in the grounded, athletic sense. Its supernatural setting and powers make it the best fit of these three for first-person stealth-action flexibility, but not a realistic spy-action equivalent.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist is the gadget-and-espionage pick
Choose Splinter Cell: Blacklist if covert-agent action matters more to you than parkour. Ubisoft describes it as a stealth-action thriller and highlights equipment and close-quarters combat, making it the most direct choice here for a gadget-led espionage mood.

The available description supports stealth action, gadgets, and close combat; it does not establish parkour as a central feature. Go in expecting a covert-operations alternative, not a movement-focused substitute.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is the parkour-first alternative
Choose Mirror’s Edge Catalyst when fluid first-person movement is the deciding factor. GamesRadar’s 2026 guide highlights its parkour, distinctive perspective, narrative, and tactile melee combat. That makes it the strongest match for the movement side of the request.
Rank #3
It is better framed as movement-first and stealth-adjacent than as a stealth-first replacement for Perfect Dark. If you want stealth and gadgets to lead, the other two picks are closer; if you want to run, vault, and keep moving through a first-person world, start here.
