There is no single best Sony BRAVIA for every room or budget. Start by choosing the screen technology and size that fit your viewing habits and space, then compare the exact models and prices available in that category. Sony’s US catalog spans OLED, QD-OLED, Mini LED, LED and True RGB families, but its product listings do not establish an independently tested winner.
Which BRAVIA should you choose?
Use this shortlist as a starting point, not a performance ranking. Sony’s US catalog checked on October 7, 2026 lists these current and recent families; model availability, size options and prices can change.

| Family | Catalog category and year | How to use this information |
|---|---|---|
| BRAVIA 9 II | True RGB, 2026 | Consider it when comparing Sony’s listed True RGB options. The catalog listing alone does not establish picture-performance superiority. |
| BRAVIA 7 II | True RGB, 2026 | Compare its exact size and live price with other models in the same screen-size range. |
| BRAVIA 6 | OLED, 2026 | Look at it if OLED is the screen category you want to investigate. |
| BRAVIA 3 II | LED, 2026 | Compare the specific size and model variant against your room and budget. |
| BRAVIA 8 II | QD-OLED, 2025 | It remains among the families listed in Sony’s catalog; confirm current stock and exact variant. |
| BRAVIA 5 | Mini LED, 2025 | Check current availability and the specifications for the particular size you are considering. |
These are catalog categories and release-year labels, not claims that every size in a family has identical specifications. See Sony’s US television catalog for current listings and size variants.

Sony groups its televisions into RGB LED, OLED, Mini LED and LED categories, and its lineup also includes QD-OLED models. These names describe different product categories; they do not by themselves show which model performs best in your room.

OLED and QD-OLED
Sony explains that OLED uses individually controlled, self-illuminating pixels that can turn off to produce deep blacks. That is the manufacturer’s explanation of the technology, not an independent comparison of current BRAVIA models. Sony’s selection guide also notes that OLED and LCD have different characteristics; its guidance is useful context, not a model-by-model verdict. Read Sony’s TV buying guide and confirm the category and specifications on the product page for the exact size.
Mini LED, LED and True RGB
Sony lists Mini LED and LED alongside RGB LED, and the 2026 catalog identifies BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II as True RGB models. The reviewed catalog does not provide independent comparative results for brightness, reflections, HDR performance or value. Compare detailed specifications for the particular models you are considering rather than treating the category label as proof of a result.

Match screen size to the room
First check which sizes Sony actually offers for the specific family and model variant. Then measure the available wall or stand space, account for installation constraints, and consider how far you sit from the screen. A series name is not enough to confirm that a particular size is available or suitable for your setup.
Before purchasing, verify the model number, dimensions, stand arrangement and wall-mount compatibility on that model’s product page. If you plan to wall-mount the TV, check the mount pattern and any installation requirements for the exact size; accessory compatibility should not be assumed across a family.

Pick by the way you watch
Films
If films are the priority, decide whether OLED’s pixel-level light control is the characteristic you value, then compare the exact model and size against your budget and room. The available Sony material does not establish a controlled picture-quality winner among current families.
Everyday television
For mixed or everyday viewing, compare the live price, size availability and specifications of the models that fit your space. The catalog alone does not establish which family offers the best value or bright-room performance.

Gaming
Sony discusses pairing a television with a PlayStation 5 in its setup guidance, but that is not proof that a particular BRAVIA is the best gaming TV. Check the exact model’s ports and supported features against your console and accessories before buying. See Sony’s PlayStation 5 and BRAVIA setup guidance; it does not provide a controlled ranking of current models for gaming.
Compare the full cost and setup
Prices and promotions shown on Sony’s pages are snapshots, not durable price guidance. Check the current price, inventory, delivery terms and exact size for the same model variant at the time you are ready to buy. Avoid comparing an offer for one size with the price of another.
Also decide whether the built-in sound suits your room or whether you will use a separate soundbar. If you need one, confirm compatibility with the chosen TV rather than assuming every accessory works across all BRAVIA models. Sony’s selection guide covers sound and setup considerations.
A practical way to make the final choice
- Set your priorities: Decide whether films, everyday viewing or gaming matters most, and identify any setup needs such as a soundbar or wall mount.
- Choose the screen category: Narrow the options to OLED, QD-OLED, Mini LED, LED or True RGB based on the characteristics you want to investigate—not an assumed ranking.
- Confirm the size: Check Sony’s live catalog for sizes offered in that exact family, then measure your room and installation space.
- Compare exact variants: Check model numbers and specifications, including ports and accessory compatibility, for the size you intend to buy.
- Check current purchase details: Compare the same size and variant across available listings, and verify live price, stock and delivery terms before ordering.
The model names and years above reflect Sony’s US catalog as checked October 7, 2026. Listings and availability can change, so confirm the live catalog and product page before making a purchase.
