The best “print setting” for Cricut StickerPix is not a universal printer preset such as Photo, Best, a particular DPI, or a color profile. Cricut’s instructions focus on using the correct StickerPix media, loading it in the correct orientation, and selecting the tray-guide position that matches the sheet. For StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets, that means 4 × 7 inches, printable side up, with the sheet and ink intended for the StickerPix Print + Cut machine.
Start by identifying your machine. StickerPix Print and StickerPix Print + Cut use different media sizes and are not cross-compatible. A wrong-model sheet can cause feeding, loading, or incomplete-print problems, so the package label matters more than a generic inkjet-paper setting.

What “best settings” means for StickerPix
StickerPix is a dedicated Cricut printing system, not ordinary sticker stock that you tune with a conventional desktop-printer profile. Cricut’s published guidance for StickerPix Print + Cut does not specify a universal driver choice such as “photo paper,” a DPI value, or a color-management profile. It instead specifies the compatible media, how the sheet enters the machine, and the guide position for each media size.
That distinction prevents a common mistake: choosing a high-quality setting intended for a separate inkjet printer and assuming it is the correct StickerPix configuration. Use the StickerPix workflow in the machine’s software and match every physical setting to the exact model and sheet you own.

Identify your StickerPix model before loading paper
There are two StickerPix products with different consumables. Read the machine name and the media name on the package before opening a sheet.
| Machine | Compatible media described by Cricut | Published dimensions | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| StickerPix Print + Cut | Glossy white Sticker Sheets; separate Photo Paper | Sticker Sheets: 4 × 7 inches; Photo Paper: 4 × 6 inches | Use Print + Cut materials and ink only; Print materials are not interchangeable |
| StickerPix Print | Its own Photo Paper and precut sticker sheets | 3.94 × 6.93 inches (100 × 176 mm) | Use Print materials; Print + Cut supplies are a different size and cannot be substituted |
Cricut explicitly says StickerPix Print and StickerPix Print + Cut materials are different sizes and are not cross-compatible. Do not infer compatibility from a similar-looking package or from the fact that both products carry the StickerPix name.
StickerPix Print + Cut media
For custom sticker designs on the Print + Cut machine, Cricut lists glossy white Sticker Sheets at 4 × 7 inches. Its Photo Paper is a separate 4 × 6-inch media type. The tray-guide position must match whichever of those two sizes you are loading.
StickerPix Print media
The separate StickerPix Print machine accepts its own Photo Paper and precut sticker sheets. Cricut lists those materials as 3.94 × 6.93 inches (100 × 176 mm). The precut formats include six 1.5-inch rounds, five 1 × 2.6-inch rectangles, six 1.5-inch squares, or one 4 × 6-inch sticker per sheet.

Recommended setup for StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets
Use this sequence when your package says StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets.
- Confirm the model. Verify that both the machine and the package say StickerPix Print + Cut. Do not use StickerPix Print media in this workflow.
- Choose the correct material. Select Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets for a 4 × 7-inch glossy sheet. If you are using Cricut StickerPix Photo Paper instead, treat it as a different 4 × 6-inch material and use its corresponding guide position.
- Prepare the sheet. Keep the sheet clean and flat. Cricut warns not to touch the printable side because fingerprints, dust, or oils may affect print quality.
- Load printable side up. Put the sheet in the material tray with the printable surface facing upward. Check that it is seated as the machine’s StickerPix workflow expects before starting the job.
- Set the tray guide to 4 × 7 inches. This is the guide position for StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets. Do not use the 4 × 6-inch position unless you are actually loading StickerPix Photo Paper.
- Run the StickerPix/Design Space workflow. Select the StickerPix material in the software and follow the on-screen Print + Cut process. Do not substitute a generic paper type simply because it sounds like a higher-quality option.
- Keep the sheet’s printable surface protected. Handle it by the edges after loading and avoid placing objects on the printing area.
Correct guide positions at a glance
| Media loaded in StickerPix Print + Cut | Sheet size | Tray-guide position | Orientation |
|---|---|---|---|
| StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets | 4 × 7 inches | 4 × 7 inches | Printable side up |
| StickerPix Print + Cut Photo Paper | 4 × 6 inches | 4 × 6 inches | Printable side up |
The guide position is not a print-quality slider. It is a physical size setting that helps the machine handle the selected media. A mismatch can interfere with loading or alignment even if the artwork itself is correct.
Printer-quality, DPI and color settings: what Cricut does—and does not—specify
Cricut’s StickerPix instructions reviewed for this product do not publish a universal “best quality” or “photo paper” driver preset, a recommended DPI, or a color-profile setting. Consequently, there is no evidence-based StickerPix number to enter for DPI and no Cricut-approved generic profile to select for every design.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThat does not mean quality is irrelevant. It means the documented controls are the dedicated StickerPix media workflow, the correct sheet, the correct guide position, and correct handling. Selecting an unrelated external-printer preset can send the reader in the wrong direction because StickerPix is designed around Cricut’s own paper and cartridge system.

If your software shows a generic paper menu
Choose the StickerPix material option supplied by the StickerPix/Design Space workflow when it is available. Do not override it with a setting merely labeled Photo, Glossy, Maximum DPI, or a similar term unless Cricut’s current instructions for your exact machine explicitly tell you to do so. The official material guidance does not establish those generic choices as universal StickerPix settings.
If you are using a separate inkjet printer
An external printer plus a Cricut cutting machine is a different workflow from StickerPix. It depends on the external printer model, its driver, and the specific sticker paper. The StickerPix settings in this article do not provide a DPI, color profile, or paper preset for that arrangement.
Operating conditions that can affect print quality
For StickerPix Print + Cut, Cricut gives an optimal working range of 50–95°F (10–35°C) and 40–60% relative humidity. Cricut says print quality may be affected outside appropriate conditions.
| Condition | Cricut’s stated range | Practical check |
|---|---|---|
| Temperature | 50–95°F (10–35°C) | Use the machine in a space within this range when possible |
| Relative humidity | 40–60% | Avoid unusually damp or very dry conditions when troubleshooting quality |
These are operating conditions, not replacement print presets. If a job looks inconsistent, verify the environment along with the media size, orientation, and model compatibility rather than changing an unsupported DPI value.

Why model-specific supplies matter
StickerPix Print + Cut is designed for Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut materials and ink cartridges. Cricut warns that third-party consumables may cause clogging, print defects, or machine damage, and says it cannot guarantee machine health or performance when third-party supplies are used.
Third-party sticker sheets can also differ in dimensions, surface coating, thickness, or feed behavior. Even if a sheet appears to be 4 × 7 inches, that does not establish that it is compatible with the StickerPix Print + Cut paper path or ink system. Use the material named for your model when you need the setup Cricut documents.
Troubleshooting by symptom
The sheet will not feed or loads incompletely
- Check the package and machine name first. Print and Print + Cut media are different sizes.
- Confirm that the sheet is the correct StickerPix material, not a sheet intended for the other StickerPix model.
- For Print + Cut Sticker Sheets, set the guide to 4 × 7 inches. For Print + Cut Photo Paper, set it to 4 × 6 inches.
- Reload with the printable side up and make sure the sheet is seated correctly in the tray.
- If the sheet is a third-party product, replace it with the model-specific Cricut material before treating the machine as defective.
Print quality is uneven, dirty or otherwise degraded
- Do not touch the printable side; fingerprints, dust and oils can affect print quality.
- Check that the sheet is the correct model and material type.
- Verify that temperature is within 50–95°F (10–35°C) and relative humidity is within 40–60% for Print + Cut.
- Do not assume that selecting a generic high-quality or photo-driver preset will correct a StickerPix issue; Cricut does not publish such a universal preset.
- Review whether third-party paper or ink is in use, since Cricut warns of possible print defects and machine problems with third-party consumables.
The design prints on the wrong side
- Reload the sheet with the printable side facing up.
- Handle the sheet by its edges so the printable surface remains identifiable and clean.
- Confirm that the selected material in the StickerPix workflow matches the physical sheet.
The cut or print appears misaligned
- Recheck that the guide position matches the physical media: 4 × 7 inches for Sticker Sheets or 4 × 6 inches for Photo Paper.
- Confirm that the sheet belongs to the Print + Cut model rather than StickerPix Print.
- Reload a clean, undamaged sheet in the printable-side-up orientation and repeat the dedicated StickerPix workflow.
A decision checklist before every job
- Does the package name the same StickerPix model as your machine?
- Are you using StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets, StickerPix Print + Cut Photo Paper, or a StickerPix Print precut format?
- Does the tray guide match the media size?
- Is the printable side facing up?
- Have you avoided touching the printable coating?
- Are the Print + Cut temperature and humidity conditions reasonably within Cricut’s stated ranges?
- Are the paper and cartridges Cricut materials intended for that model?
- Are you following the StickerPix/Design Space material workflow rather than an external-printer preset?
Common mistakes to avoid
Using the other StickerPix model’s paper
The shared product name can make the media look interchangeable, but Cricut says the sizes differ and the supplies are not cross-compatible. Package verification is the first setting.
Putting 4 × 6 Photo Paper in the 4 × 7 Sticker Sheet position
Both are Print + Cut media, but they have different guide positions. Match the guide to the sheet currently in the tray.

Touching the printable coating
Fingerprints, dust and oils can affect print quality. Hold sheets by the edges and keep the print surface clean.
Looking for a magic DPI number
No universal StickerPix DPI or color profile is specified in Cricut’s published guidance. Changing an unsupported value is not a documented solution for a feed, quality or alignment problem.
Assuming any glossy sticker paper is equivalent
Gloss, dimensions and intended printer system are not enough to establish compatibility. Cricut’s warning about third-party consumables covers possible clogging, print defects and machine damage.

Bottom line for each machine
StickerPix Print + Cut
Use Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets at the 4 × 7-inch guide position, printable side up. If using StickerPix Photo Paper, use the 4 × 6-inch guide position instead. Keep the surface clean, stay within 50–95°F (10–35°C) and 40–60% relative humidity when possible, and use the Print + Cut paper and ink specified for the machine.
StickerPix Print
Use the separate StickerPix Print media listed for that machine. Its materials are approximately 3.94 × 6.93 inches (100 × 176 mm), with the published precut formats described above. Do not substitute Print + Cut supplies.
In short, the reliable StickerPix setting is the correct model-specific material and physical setup—not an invented printer-quality preset.
