Start with the Steam listing’s two profiles: use DirectX 11 at 1080p and Low quality if your computer is near the minimum specification; use DirectX 12 at 1080p and Medium–High quality if it is near the recommended specification. Steam lists a 60 FPS target for the DX11 profile and a 60–120 FPS target for the recommended DX12 profile, but those are publisher targets, not independently measured benchmarks. The listing does not document the current graphics menu, the cost of individual settings, or the game’s accessibility features, so treat the profiles as a starting point and tune the actual build one change at a time.
What the official PC targets actually mean
The Steam store page separates two intended configurations. That distinction is more useful than copying a single “best preset,” because the two profiles use different DirectX versions and quality levels.

| Profile | DirectX | Resolution and quality target | Published frame-rate target | What it represents |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum-oriented | DirectX 11 | 1080p, Low | 60 FPS target | A store-listed target for hardware around the minimum specification, not a controlled benchmark |
| Recommended-oriented | DirectX 12 | 1080p, Medium–High | 60–120 FPS target | A store-listed target for hardware around the recommended specification, not a measured guarantee |
Steam does not state the test scene, driver version, frame-time standard, background workload, or whether either target is an average, a cap, or a representative result. A target therefore cannot promise that every area, effect, or system will hold the same frame rate. Use it to select a starting mode, then judge your own frame-time behavior in the game.
Check your hardware before changing settings
Compare your computer with the complete figures shown on the listing. The storage requirement is the same in both profiles, while the operating-system, processor, memory, graphics-card, and DirectX expectations differ.

| Component | Minimum specification (Steam listing) | Recommended specification (Steam listing) |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 10 or Windows 11 |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 | Intel Core i5-12400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600 |
| Memory | 4 GB RAM | 8 GB RAM |
| Graphics | GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB or Radeon RX 580 | GeForce RTX 3060 6 GB or Radeon RX 6700 XT |
| DirectX | DirectX 11 | DirectX 12 |
| Storage | 5 GB available | 5 GB available |
These are published configuration requirements and targets, not benchmark-tested guarantees. A computer between the two profiles may run the game, but the listing does not establish what frame rate it will deliver. Laptop versions of a processor or GPU, shared graphics memory, thermal limits, and background applications can all make a nominally similar specification behave differently.
Choose DirectX 11 or DirectX 12
When to begin with DirectX 11
Start with DX11 if your system is close to the minimum profile, if your graphics hardware cannot use the DX12 upscaling features described below, or if DX12 produces instability on your particular installation. Pair it with the store-listed 1080p Low starting point. This is a compatibility-first choice; it is not evidence that DX11 is always faster.
When to begin with DirectX 12
Start with DX12 when your system is close to the recommended profile and your GPU supports the required features. The listing associates the recommended profile with 1080p Medium–High and a 60–120 FPS target. DX12 is also the mode required for the listing’s DLSS/DLAA compatibility note.

If the game offers a launch or menu choice
- Record which mode you used and the resolution, quality level, and frame-rate result you observe.
- Change only the DirectX mode for the first comparison; leave resolution and quality unchanged.
- Use the same repeatable section of gameplay after each restart. Because Steam publishes no test scene, your own repeatable route is more informative than comparing a number from a different scene.
- Keep the mode that gives you fewer stalls, crashes, or severe frame-time spikes, even if its headline FPS number is similar.
The current listing does not document the exact menu labels or whether switching modes requires a restart. Follow the labels shown by your installed build rather than assuming that a control exists.
Use a practical graphics-tuning order
The store page does not list individual graphics controls or their performance impact. Do not assume that a setting named in another game exists here, and do not treat a generic preset as a measured recommendation. If the current build exposes the following types of controls, use this order to find a sensible balance.
1. Establish a baseline
- Select the appropriate DX11 or DX12 starting profile.
- Use your display’s native 1080p output if that is the resolution you are targeting. If your monitor has a different native resolution, test that separately instead of silently comparing unlike outputs.
- Play the same demanding route for several minutes. Note average smoothness, the worst stutter, and whether the problem appears during camera movement, loading, or combat.
- Close browsers, recording tools, and overlays temporarily so they do not obscure the game’s behavior.
2. Solve GPU saturation first
If the GPU is continuously near full utilization and lowering the game’s resolution or quality makes movement smoother, the graphics processor is likely the immediate limit. Lower the heaviest available quality control one step at a time, then retest. The listing does not identify which control is most expensive, so the correct order must come from your build’s observed result rather than a claimed universal ranking.

3. Investigate CPU or frame-time limits
If the GPU is not busy while frame rate remains low, lowering image quality may do little. Check for a CPU-limited scene, background downloads, power-saving mode, thermal throttling, or a frame-rate limit. Keep the visual setting unchanged while checking each possible cause; otherwise you cannot tell which change helped.
4. Set a frame-rate limit only after measuring
A stable limit below the fluctuations you actually see can feel smoother than an uncapped number that repeatedly falls. Choose a cap your system can hold in the demanding section you tested, and leave enough headroom for heavier moments. The listing’s 60 and 60–120 figures are targets, not instructions that every monitor or system should use those exact caps.
5. Recheck image quality
After reducing a setting, inspect dark corridors, fine geometry, and motion at normal viewing distance. Restore a setting if its visual loss is larger than its measured benefit. Keep a short note of each change so you can undo it after a driver update or game patch.

DLSS and DLAA: the documented limitation
Steam states that DLSS and DLAA require DirectX 12 and a compatible RTX GPU. That means a DX11 session, or a system without the required RTX hardware, should not be expected to expose or run those features.
What the listing does not establish
- It does not name the exact in-game menu labels or quality modes.
- It does not state which DLSS or DLAA implementation version is included.
- It does not quantify frame-rate gain, latency change, or image-quality loss.
- It does not confirm that every RTX model or driver combination behaves identically.
If your build shows an upscaling control, compare it at the same resolution and scene, and keep the option that gives you acceptable clarity and stable frame times. If the control is absent, first confirm that the game is running DX12 and that the GPU is a compatible RTX model; do not infer a fault solely from an undocumented menu.

The published targets are framed around 1080p. Running above 1080p increases the amount of image the GPU must render, while running below it can improve performance at the cost of sharpness. The listing provides no measurements for either alternative, so treat them as personal tuning choices rather than supported performance promises.

- Verify that the game is using the intended monitor, especially in a multi-display setup.
- Match the selected refresh rate to a mode your monitor actually supports.
- If fullscreen behaves poorly, compare the game’s available windowed modes; the current listing does not specify which modes exist.
- Disable duplicate capture, sharpening, or scaling layers while diagnosing blur. Change one layer at a time.
Storage and installation advice
Steam lists 5 GB of available storage and strongly recommends an SSD. That recommendation concerns installation and loading behavior; the listing does not claim that an SSD increases FPS. Leave additional free space for updates and temporary files rather than filling the drive to its limit.
- Install the game on a healthy drive with at least the listed free capacity plus room for updates.
- If you move the installation, use Steam’s library-management tools so the files remain registered correctly.
- After a move or interrupted update, run Steam’s file-integrity check before changing graphics settings.
- Do not use an SSD purchase as a substitute for diagnosing a GPU, CPU, memory, or thermal limit.
Troubleshoot common performance symptoms
Low FPS from the first minute
- Confirm the game is using the dedicated GPU rather than integrated graphics.
- Return to the appropriate DX11 Low or DX12 Medium–High starting profile.
- Check that the display resolution has not been set above the 1080p target while testing.
- Watch GPU utilization and temperatures; a low utilization reading points away from a purely graphics-quality problem.
Short freezes or traversal stutter
- Install on the recommended SSD when possible and keep free space available.
- Close disk-heavy applications and overlays during the test.
- Compare DX11 and DX12 with the same scene if both modes are available.
- Record whether the hitch occurs at the same location every time; repeatability helps distinguish loading behavior from an unstable setting.
Crashes or a black screen after changing modes
- Restart the game and revert to the previous DirectX mode.
- Verify the installation files in Steam.
- Update or cleanly reinstall the graphics driver if the problem affects other games as well.
- Remove temporary launch options or overlays before testing again.
Because the store page does not publish a crash matrix or supported launch parameters, avoid copying undocumented command-line switches from unrelated games.
Performance changes after an update
Recheck the store listing and your in-game menu after updates. Steam’s page is mutable, and its published targets may not describe every future build. Keep your previous notes so you can identify whether the change came from a patch, driver, or setting reset.

Accessibility: what is known and how to verify it
The available Steam listing does not enumerate accessibility features. It therefore does not establish the presence of color-blind modes, field-of-view adjustment, motion-reduction controls, subtitles, text scaling, remapping, audio sliders, or one-handed presets. Do not promise any of those options without build-specific documentation.
Check the current game menus
- Open the game’s Settings or Options screen and inspect Graphics, Display, Audio, Controls, and any Accessibility category separately.
- Look for subtitle language, subtitle size or background, dialogue volume, effects volume, camera motion, field of view, contrast, brightness, and input-remapping controls.
- Test each control in a safe area, then confirm that it persists after restarting the game.
- If an option is missing, note the exact build number and platform before asking the developer or community; menu names can change between updates.
Use platform-level accommodations where appropriate
- Windows includes display scaling, color filters, high-contrast themes, magnification, and narrator features that can help with text or color discrimination. These affect the operating system and may not change every element rendered by the game.
- Steam Input can remap a compatible controller at the platform level when the game’s own controls are limited. The available actions depend on the input device and the game’s recognized bindings.
- Monitor brightness, contrast, black-level, and overdrive controls can change visibility and motion clarity, but excessive overdrive can create inverse ghosting.
- Use headphones or independent system-volume controls to reduce the need for very loud master volume when dialogue and effects are mixed unevenly.
These workarounds do not prove that the game itself supports a particular accessibility feature. They are external accommodations to try while you verify the current build.
When should you consider hardware changes?
The listed RTX 3060 6GB and Radeon RX 6700 XT are reference points for the recommended profile, not a requirement that every player buy a new GPU. Likewise, the SSD recommendation does not establish an FPS benefit. Before spending money, identify the bottleneck with a repeatable scene, check temperatures and utilization, and try the available in-game options.
Quick Recap
- Upgrade graphics hardware only when the GPU is consistently the limit and lower settings or resolution do not meet your acceptable result.
- Address insufficient memory when the system is paging or other applications force the game to close; the listing distinguishes 4 GB minimum from 8 GB recommended.
- Investigate CPU limits when the GPU has headroom and frame rate remains tied to busy scenes.
- Choose an SSD for faster access and loading convenience, not on the unsupported assumption that it raises frame rate.
A concise setup checklist
- Compare your PC with the Steam minimum and recommended tables.
- Choose DX11 for a minimum-oriented start or DX12 for a recommended-oriented start.
- Begin at 1080p Low or 1080p Medium–High respectively.
- Confirm whether your RTX GPU and DX12 mode expose DLSS or DLAA.
- Test a repeatable demanding route and note frame-time stability, not just the highest FPS number.
- Change one graphics control at a time, keeping a record of each result.
- Use an SSD when available for installation and loading, without expecting an FPS increase.
- Inspect the current build’s menus for accessibility features; treat undocumented options as unverified.
- Apply Windows, monitor, or Steam Input accommodations when the game’s own controls are insufficient.
- Recheck settings after updates because the store listing and game menus can change.
