There is no single best graphics preset for every PC running Stellar Blade. Start with the resolution and preset tier closest to your GPU, then adjust to meet your own frame-rate and image-quality goals. PlayStation’s published targets pair Low with 1080p/60 FPS, Medium or High with 1440p/60 FPS, and Very High with 4K/60 FPS; they are specifications, not guarantees for every PC.

Start with the official resolution and preset targets

Use these tiers as a starting point, not a promise that your particular CPU and GPU will hold 60 FPS in every scene. PlayStation lists the following targets for the PC version:

Target tier Resolution and preset Published target Example GPU
Minimum 1080p, Low 60 FPS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB; AMD Radeon RX 580 8 GB
Recommended 1440p, Medium 60 FPS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER; AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
High 1440p, High 60 FPS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER; AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
Very High 4K, Very High 60 FPS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080; AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT

The current PlayStation PC specifications describe minimum as 1080p Low at 60 FPS and recommended as 1440p Medium at 60 FPS. The additional High and Very High examples come from PlayStation’s May 15, 2025 PC specifications announcement. These are publisher-listed configurations, not independent benchmark results.

All listed tiers specify Windows 10 64-bit and 16 GB of RAM. The minimum tier lists 75 GB on an HDD, with an SSD recommended; the other tiers list 75 GB on an SSD. The listed CPU examples are an Intel Core i5-7600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X for minimum, and an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X for the recommended, High, and Very High tiers.

How to get more FPS without lowering everything

  1. Choose your display resolution first. Decide whether you want to play at 1080p, 1440p, or 4K. A higher output resolution asks more of the graphics hardware, so use the closest official target tier as your initial reference.
  2. Start with the matching preset. For example, use the 1440p Medium tier as a starting point if your system is near the published recommended configuration. Treat the preset as a baseline rather than a guaranteed result.
  3. Adjust incrementally. If performance falls short of your target, change settings one at a time and compare image quality and frame pacing on your own PC. The available official material does not establish a universal slider-by-slider recipe or identify which individual setting delivers the largest FPS gain.
  4. Consider upscaling if it suits your hardware. The game lists NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3 for upscaling. Availability and preference depend on compatible hardware; the cited sources do not provide a head-to-head quality or performance comparison.
  5. Check the result against your actual goal. Decide whether you value a higher output resolution, more visual detail, a steadier frame rate, or responsiveness most. The publisher’s target figures do not guarantee a particular result on every hardware combination.

Should you use DLSS, FSR, DLAA, or frame generation?

PlayStation lists NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3 upscaling and frame generation, NVIDIA DLAA image enhancement, NVIDIA Reflex latency reduction, and an unlocked frame rate. These are different options rather than interchangeable quality levels; the official material names supported features but does not rank them for image quality, FPS, or latency in this game.

Option What the publisher lists it for How to decide
NVIDIA DLSS 4 Upscaling and frame generation Consider it if your hardware supports it and its result suits your preferences. No comparative game-specific measurements are provided in the cited sources.
AMD FSR 3 Upscaling and frame generation Consider it where available on your setup; the official material does not establish that it is universally better or worse than DLSS.
NVIDIA DLAA Image enhancement It is listed separately from the upscaling choices. The sources do not quantify its image-quality or performance impact.
NVIDIA Reflex Latency reduction Consider it if responsiveness is a priority and it is available on your setup. No game-specific latency result is published in the cited material.
Unlocked frame rate Allows a frame-rate setting that is not capped at a fixed target Choose according to your display and performance goals; an unlocked setting does not itself guarantee a particular frame rate.

Frame generation and the game’s actual rendering rate are separate considerations. A generated-frame count should not be treated as a measurement of input responsiveness. The publisher lists frame generation and Reflex support, but does not publish game-specific latency comparisons for these features.

Best graphics settings for 1440p

PlayStation’s published 1440p targets are Medium and High, both paired with 60 FPS. Its current recommended tier is 1440p Medium; the May 2025 announcement also lists a High tier with RTX 2070 SUPER or RX 6700 XT examples. Choose the tier that best matches your PC, then assess the result on your own system rather than assuming the GPU examples guarantee a fixed frame rate.

If the image is acceptable but performance is not meeting your goal, make incremental changes and consider DLSS 4 or FSR 3 upscaling if compatible with your hardware. If image quality matters more and performance is sufficient, compare the available options on your display. The official sources offer no controlled measurements to name one ideal 1440p configuration for all PCs.

Aspect ratio and the 4K background-texture option

The PC announcement says the game supports aspect ratios from 5:4 through 32:9. Use the aspect ratio that matches your monitor rather than forcing a different ratio. It also identifies a 4K background-texture option in settings. That is a visual-quality choice, not an automatic requirement: the announcement does not state its VRAM cost or performance impact.

What the published targets can—and cannot—tell you

The official specifications provide useful reference points for resolution, preset, example hardware, memory, and storage. They do not establish current patch-specific menu labels, controlled per-setting benchmarks, or an optimized configuration for each GPU. If your PC differs from a listed example, the practical choice is to start near the closest tier and judge performance and image quality on that machine.
