CD PROJEKT RED says the original game has sold more than 60 million copies since its 2015 release and has won more than 250 Game of the Year awards and 1,000 industry awards. Elden Ring: the discovery-and-challenge pick

PlayStation includes it in its official open-world guide. Select it when character writing, setting and immersion are your priorities. It offers less emphasis on rapid build experimentation than Cyberpunk 2077 or Elden Ring, but its patient pacing makes the world and the gang’s relationships feel unusually lived-in.
