For a documented OnePlus alternative focused on gaming and a large stated battery, start with the OnePlus 15R. The OnePlus 13R is a previous-generation option to consider if local pricing and stock make sense; the OnePlus 15 is a higher-tier choice if your budget allows.
What is known about the OnePlus 16R?
As of October 7, 2026, no official OnePlus 16R product page or announcement appears in the sources reviewed. A 91mobiles report says a rumored OnePlus Ace 7-series device could arrive in India as the 16R and attributes pricing to tipster Gadgetsdata; the hardware details are speculative. Smartprix also labels its 16R listing as rumored and unverified. The reports show different battery capacities, so neither should be treated as a confirmed specification.

That uncertainty changes the comparison: the alternatives below are established phones with specifications or test results attributed to their sources, not predictions about how they compare with a final 16R. Wait for an official announcement and regional specifications before deciding whether a confirmed 16R is a better fit.

Why the OnePlus 15R is the clearest performance-and-battery fit
OnePlus lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 7,400mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging on its OnePlus 15R product page. The battery figure is capacity, not a promise of a particular number of hours in everyday use. OnePlus also claims a charge to 50% in around 23 minutes; that is a manufacturer estimate whose result depends on conditions.

For a separate runtime measure, Tom’s Guide reported 18 hours 49 minutes in its 2026 OnePlus 15R battery test. Treat that as the result of that publication’s test, not a guarantee for your usage. Screen brightness, network conditions, apps and other settings affect real-world endurance.
When the OnePlus 13R or OnePlus 15 makes more sense
Choose the OnePlus 13R when local value matters
OnePlus’s 13R specifications list Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, UFS 4.0 storage and dual cooling chambers, alongside the market-specific RAM configurations shown above. Its 6,000mAh battery and charging rates are documented in OnePlus’s 2025 launch announcement. Because it is a previous-generation model, compare the current price and remaining software support in your country before buying; neither is established here.
Rank #2
Choose the OnePlus 15 if you want a higher-tier option
Tom’s Guide lists the OnePlus 15 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and reports 25 hours 13 minutes in its 2026 battery test. Its report also lists 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Those results may not be directly comparable to other battery tests, and a strong test result alone does not establish that the phone offers better value for you. Check current local pricing and availability.
Consider the Samsung Galaxy S26 if you are open to another brand
Tom’s Guide identifies the Galaxy S26 as an alternative for top-shelf performance, but the opened ranking excerpt does not provide a battery-test number comparable to its OnePlus figures. It is therefore a candidate to investigate, not a proven battery-life winner on the evidence available here.

How to compare performance and battery life fairly
- For demanding games, compare the chipset and cooling details, then look for tests of the specific games and settings you use. The 13R’s dual cooling chambers are a listed hardware feature, not a guarantee of a particular frame rate.
- For endurance, prioritize independently reported runtime tests and check their protocols. A 2023 OnePlus Test Laboratory result for the 12R was 17.6 hours in a continuous YouTube loop over Wi-Fi with default settings; that historical test does not establish 15R or 16R runtime.
- For charging downtime, compare the charging rate available in your region and distinguish manufacturer claims from independent measurements. The 13R’s North American charging specification differs from the rate OnePlus lists for other markets.
- For value, check local retail price, current stock and software support. The evidence cited here spans India-focused OnePlus materials and a US-oriented editorial ranking, so one market’s configurations or availability may not apply to another.
Battery capacity in mAh, a manufacturer’s lab result and an editorial battery test describe different things. Do not rank phones by mixing those figures as if they used the same method.
