What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Best depends on how you want to produce the show: choose StreamYard for a browser-based studio and guests, Restream to relay an encoder feed to several destinations, or OBS Studio when you want free, flexible local production. Streamlabs is another desktop-oriented option, but its cloud multistreaming is a paid Ultra feature. If you want a prerecorded YouTube stream to keep running around the clock rather than simulcast a live show, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option: it loops uploaded videos on YouTube.
Choose the workflow before choosing the software
Multistreaming means sending one live program to more than one platform at the same time. The key distinction is where the video is produced and where it is distributed: a browser studio can handle production and destinations together; a cloud relay can distribute a feed from an encoder such as OBS; desktop tools can produce locally, with the implications of each output depending on the setup.

- Want a studio in a browser, especially for interviews? Start with StreamYard.
- Already use OBS or another encoder and want a relay? Compare Restream.
- Want scenes, sources, and audio controls without a subscription for the encoder? Consider OBS Studio, then decide how you will deliver the feed to multiple destinations.
- Want a desktop workflow with a cloud multistream option? Consider Streamlabs and check which feature is included in the plan you need.
- Want a prerecorded video to loop on YouTube 24/7? That is not conventional live-show multistreaming; see the separate StreamNeo option below.
These are workflow matches, not performance rankings. The comparison below is based on official vendor materials checked October 3, 2026; no independent reliability, image-quality, latency, CPU-use, or audience-growth tests were conducted.

Best multistreaming software by use case
1. StreamNeo: best for a prerecorded YouTube channel that must stay live
StreamNeo is not a general-purpose multistreaming studio. It is for keeping a YouTube channel live around the clock from uploaded recordings: upload a video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the content in the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It streams to YouTube only and plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera feed.
#1 Best Overall

Note: Video input supports 4K30/60Hz and 1080p120/144Hz. Does not support 4K120Hz/144Hz. Output supports up to 2K30Hz.
- 【Plug and Play】No driver or external power supply required, true PnP. Once plugged in, the device is identified automatically as a webcam. Detect input and adjust output automatically. Won't occupy CPU, optional audio capture. No freeze with correct setting.
- 【Compatible with Multiple Systems】suitable for Windows and Mac OS. High speed USB 3.0 technology and superior low latency technology makes it easier for you to transmit live streaming to Twitch, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, OBS, Potplayer and VLC.
- 【HDMI LOOP-OUT】Based on the high-speed USB 3.0 technology, it can capture one single channel HD HDMI video signal. There is no delay when you are playing game live.
- 【Support Mic-in for Commentary】Rybozen capture card has microphone input and you can use it to add external commentary when playing a game. Please note: it only accepts 3.5mm TRS standard microphone headset.
It is the best fit in this separate 24/7 prerecorded-stream category because it runs from the cloud, accepts uploaded video at its original quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day without a card. See StreamNeo for details.
2. StreamYard: best for a browser-based show with guests
StreamYard is a browser studio for creators who want a managed show workflow. Its official help page says multistreaming is paid and lists 3 destinations on Core, 8 on Advanced, and 10 on Business. The pricing page currently lists 3 for Core and 8 for Advanced, so the published summaries do not show the same full tier set. Check the current plan and destination limit before subscribing, especially if you expect to use Business. StreamYard’s multistreaming help and pricing page are the relevant references.
On October 3, 2026, the pricing page displayed Core at $44.99 monthly or $35.99 as the yearly-billed equivalent, and Advanced at $88.99 monthly or $68.99 as the yearly-billed equivalent. These are page snapshots, not universal fixed rates: the vendor says promotions, renewal terms, and custom offers may change prices.
3. Restream: best for relaying an encoder feed to several channels
Restream is a cloud relay and studio option. You can connect an encoder such as OBS or Zoom and have the service distribute the feed, rather than setting up separate local outputs for each destination. This can suit creators who want to retain an existing encoder workflow; it is not an independently tested guarantee about system load or stream quality.

Its pricing page’s monthly view showed these channel caps on October 3, 2026. The page also offered annual billing and said annual billing saves 20%, so the amounts below are monthly-view prices, not annual rates.
| Plan | Simultaneous channels | Monthly-view price | Video detail shown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 2 | $0 | 720p studio video |
| Standard | 3 | $19/month | 720p studio video |
| Professional | 5 | $49/month | 1080p streaming |
| Business | 8 | $239/month | 1080p streaming |
These are observed page values, not a quote or promise; confirm the plan details and billing view on Restream’s pricing page.
4. Streamlabs: best for desktop creators who want an integrated cloud multistream feature
Streamlabs offers desktop and mobile tools, an OBS plugin, and cloud Multistream. Its product page lists YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Kick, Facebook, Instagram, Patreon, X, and custom RTMP among its destinations. Its FAQ identifies cloud Multistream as an Ultra feature; the page section reviewed does not provide a clear current Ultra price.

Streamlabs describes the relay this way: “With Streamlabs, you send a single stream to us, and our servers forward it to each platform without straining your setup.” That is the vendor’s product description, not an independent performance test. 5. OBS Studio: best free local production tool, not a built-in cloud relay
OBS Studio is free, open-source software for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It supports scenes, webcams, capture cards, audio mixing, and filters. Its official product page does not describe built-in cloud multistream fan-out: OBS is the encoder and production tool, while distribution to multiple platforms requires an added relay or another output method. If your goal is simply to keep a prerecorded video live on YouTube while your computer is off, OBS alone does not provide that cloud-looping workflow.
The OBS homepage identified release 32.2.2 and dated it August 14; the retrieved page excerpt did not show a year, so no year is attached here. See OBS Studio’s official site for the software and current release information.
Compare the options that matter for your setup
| Option | Where it fits | Multistream limits or gate established by the vendor material | Consider it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Cloud playback of uploaded videos on YouTube | One always-on YouTube stream per slot; not a multistream-to-many-platforms tool | You need prerecorded content to loop while your computer is off |
| StreamYard | Browser studio | Paid multistreaming; pricing page lists 3 destinations for Core and 8 for Advanced; help page also lists 10 for Business | You value a managed browser show workflow and guests |
| Restream | Cloud relay and studio | Monthly view showed 2, 3, 5, and 8 channels from Free through Business | You want to connect an encoder and send its feed to several channels |
| Streamlabs | Desktop/mobile and OBS-plugin workflow with cloud Multistream | Cloud Multistream is an Ultra feature; free Dual Output is one horizontal and one vertical output, one platform per canvas | You already use Streamlabs and want its cloud distribution feature |
| OBS Studio | Local encoder and production | Built-in cloud multistream fan-out not described on its official product page | You want flexible local scenes and can choose a separate delivery method |
Destinations and account eligibility
A vendor’s destination list or channel cap does not prove that every integration is available to every account or region. Before paying, list the exact destinations you need, verify that your own accounts can connect, and confirm whether custom RTMP is accepted by both the software and the receiving platform. This matters particularly when a platform requires account eligibility or has region-specific access.
Local outputs versus a cloud relay
When a local setup sends distinct outputs to multiple platforms, it may need to encode and upload multiple feeds. A relay instead accepts an incoming feed and distributes it from its servers; the actual demands and quality depend on the chosen configuration and service. No benchmark here establishes a specific CPU, bandwidth, reliability, or image-quality advantage. Check your encoder’s output requirements and internet upload capacity for the workflow you select.

- 【What You Get】Includes: HDMI Capture Card, USB 3.0 to USB-C Adapter, User Manual. Tips: Make sure your tablet’s OTG function is enabled before connecting. Test your HDMI device with a monitor first to confirm video and audio output, then connect to the Video Capture Card for recording.
Aspect ratio and show production
If YouTube is horizontal and another destination is vertical, check whether the service can create separate formats or canvases. Streamlabs’ Dual Output supports a horizontal and vertical output, each for one platform. Restream’s pricing page lists dual-format streaming for Professional and above. For interviews, guest management and browser-based production may matter more than the maximum destination count; for scene-heavy shows, local controls may matter more.
How to choose and set up a multistream workflow
- Write down the exact destinations. Include the account and region you will use, and check each vendor’s supported destinations and your account’s eligibility before purchasing.
- Choose where to produce. Use a browser studio if you want the production workflow there; use OBS or another encoder if you already have scenes and gear; choose a relay if you want one encoder feed distributed through a cloud service.
- Check the simultaneous destination cap and feature gate. Distinguish a free encoder from free multistreaming. StreamYard multistreaming is paid; Streamlabs cloud Multistream is an Ultra feature, while Dual Output is limited to one platform per canvas.
- Match the format to the show. Confirm horizontal or vertical output support for the specific plan and destination combination. A separate canvas or format may be needed for a vertical destination.
- Connect accounts or ingest details. Follow the selected service’s current connection flow. If using a stream key or custom RTMP, copy the platform’s current server and key carefully, keep the key private, and use the platform’s own live dashboard to verify the incoming feed.
- Run a private or unlisted rehearsal where the platform permits. Check audio, picture, overlays, aspect ratio, and that every intended destination receives the feed before relying on the workflow for a scheduled show.
- Recheck pricing and limits at checkout. Prices, promotions, plan names, feature gates, and destination caps can change; the figures in this comparison are dated page snapshots where noted.
Copyright, platform rules, and reused content
Multistreaming software does not grant rights to the material you broadcast or override each platform’s live-stream policies. Use content you created or are authorized to stream, including music, video clips, and guest material. A destination may restrict an account, format, or type of content even when the software lists that platform as supported. Review the current rules in each platform’s own account and help interface before going live. Repeatedly broadcasting content you do not own can create copyright claims or strikes, and a channel’s monetization eligibility is a separate decision from whether a stream can technically be sent.
For a prerecorded 24/7 YouTube channel, the same principles apply: permission to play a recording does not guarantee that a platform will consider a channel original or eligible for monetization. Check YouTube’s current copyright and monetization policies directly; the vendor pages compared here do not establish a policy outcome for any channel.
Costs and free paths
What “free” means here
- OBS Studio: free, open-source local production software; the official product page does not describe built-in cloud fan-out.
- Restream: the monthly pricing view showed a free plan with two channels, alongside paid plans with higher limits.
- Streamlabs: Desktop is free to download, but cloud Multistream is an Ultra feature; no clear current Ultra price was established in the product-page section reviewed.
- StreamYard: its help page says multistreaming is paid.
If you use OBS with a relay, account for the relay subscription separately from the encoder. If you use local multiple outputs, consider the upload capacity and machine resources your particular configuration requires; no universal cost or performance figure applies.
