Apple’s Magic Mouse (USB-C) is the gesture-focused option, but Apple specifies macOS 15.1 or later for this model. Your best fit depends on hand preference, control style and your Mac’s installed operating system—not DPI figures alone.
How to choose a mouse for your Mac
Start with the way you use a mouse and the version of macOS on your computer. A larger shell, compact dimensions and a gesture surface suit different preferences; manufacturer specifications cannot establish which will feel most comfortable to you. Also check whether you want physical buttons and a scroll wheel, how many devices you need to switch between, and whether you plan to use Bluetooth or a USB receiver.

For Mac gestures: Magic Mouse (USB-C)

It connects over Bluetooth, pairs automatically with Mac and charges through USB-C using the included woven cable. Apple estimates about a month or more between charges.

What the performance figures do—and do not—tell you
DPI describes sensor sensitivity, but a higher advertised DPI does not by itself prove better everyday performance. These manufacturers state that their sensors track on glass, but the cited specifications do not provide an independent comparison of accuracy, latency, comfort or reliability. Likewise, Logitech’s “up to” battery estimates and click-noise comparison are product claims, not results from a shared test of all three mice.

Use the figures to identify features you may value, then weigh them against shape, controls, connection and operating-system requirements. If possible, try the mouse in person or check the seller’s return terms, since comfort is personal and cannot be inferred from a spec sheet.
