Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallFor an iPhone, choose a projector with explicit AirPlay or iOS screen-mirroring support; Bluetooth alone does not send your iPhone’s video screen to the projector. The compact LG CineBeam Q PU600U is the clearest match in the available specifications because it lists both AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth pairing. Its AirPlay connection requires the iPhone and projector to share a Wi-Fi network, and the projector needs cord power or a compatible external battery.
What Bluetooth does—and what it does not do
Bluetooth and screen mirroring are separate capabilities. A projector’s Bluetooth feature may pair with an audio device, but the label by itself does not establish that you can display iPhone video on the projector. Look for an explicit AirPlay, AirPlay 2, or iOS screen-sharing feature on the exact model and regional version.

AirPlay is wireless, but it is not a Bluetooth connection. For the CineBeam Q PU600U, LG requires the Apple device and projector to be on the same Wi-Fi network; LG also lists iOS 12.3 or later as a requirement. Wireless performance can vary with the Wi-Fi environment and firmware. LG CineBeam Q PU600U specifications and LG’s model-dependent wireless connection guidance explain the conditions.
Projector and connection options
| Option | How iPhone connection works | Bluetooth and other connections | Key trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| LG CineBeam Q PU600U | AirPlay 2 for Apple devices over the same Wi-Fi network | Bluetooth pairing; built-in 4 W speaker; USB-C | Strongest documented match for iPhone mirroring plus Bluetooth, but it has no internal battery. |
| Optoma ML750i | Display Share app supports iOS mirroring/casting; Wi-Fi dongle required | HDMI, 3.5 mm audio out, built-in speaker | Compact at 0.88 lb, but 1280 × 800 WXGA is below Full HD and wireless sharing needs an extra accessory. |
| Epson Home Cinema 1100 | Apple AirPlay screen mirroring | Two HDMI ports; USB port can power a streaming device | A brighter home-cinema comparison, not a mini-projector pick: Epson lists 1080p and 3,400 lumens of color and white brightness. |
| iPhone with a connector-matched HDMI adapter | Wired output from the iPhone to the projector’s HDMI input | Projector must have HDMI input | Avoids reliance on wireless mirroring, though protected streaming apps may still restrict playback. |

What to check before choosing
- Phone support: Verify that the exact projector model explicitly supports AirPlay or iOS mirroring. A generic Bluetooth claim is not enough.
- Connection conditions: AirPlay depends on Wi-Fi; check whether your setup can put the iPhone and projector on the same network. A wired HDMI connection may suit places where that is impractical.
- Power: Confirm whether the projector has an internal battery or needs an outlet or external battery. Small size does not guarantee cordless operation.
- Picture needs: Compare resolution and brightness alongside the room and screen size. Epson says its 3,400-lumen color-brightness figure uses IDMS and its 3,400-lumen white-brightness figure uses ISO; both can vary with usage conditions.
- Accessories: The ML750i requires a Wi-Fi dongle for its listed wireless sharing. For HDMI, identify your iPhone’s connector before selecting an adapter.
- Apps: Check whether the streaming app supports phone mirroring or casting. Some subscription video services restrict mobile-device mirroring; a streaming device connected to HDMI may be an alternative if it supports the service you use.
Power and ports matter for a portable setup
The CineBeam Q PU600U has no built-in battery. LG says it can be powered by its cord or by an external battery rated at 20 V/3.25 A or higher. Its USB-C input supports 4K at 30 Hz, but LG says that input does not support HDR. Check the model’s power and port details before planning an outdoor or travel setup.
The Optoma ML750i is listed at 0.88 lb, with WXGA resolution of 1280 × 800 and a stated projection size of 50–100 inches. Those are Optoma’s specifications; the compact weight does not remove its Wi-Fi-dongle requirement for Display Share. The larger Epson Home Cinema 1100 is better understood as a home-cinema alternative: Epson lists 1080p and brightness ratings of 3,400 lumens for both color and white output. Its figures use different measurement standards and vary by usage conditions.

- Two -Way Bluetooth: This mini projector features bidirectional Bluetooth 5.1, allowing you to connect external Bluetooth speakers for enhanced sound quality or use the projector as a Bluetooth speaker to play music directly from your phone
- Compact and Portable: Weighing just 0.7 kg, this portable projector is easy for people to carry and set up for movie nights. It also supports flexible screen size adjustment—position the projector 3.5–7.3 ft from the wall to get a 40"–120" image, and use the Projection Reduce setting to shrink the screen from 100% to 50% without moving the projector
When wired HDMI or a streaming device is the better route
For wired output, match an HDMI adapter to the connector on your particular iPhone and connect it to the projector’s HDMI input. The connector differs across iPhone generations, so a generic adapter recommendation may not fit your device. TechRadar notes that some paid streaming apps restrict mirroring from phones; check the app’s rules before buying around a phone-to-projector workflow. A streaming device connected directly to HDMI can avoid phone mirroring, but only if that device supports the service and account you use. TechRadar’s portable-projector guide discusses phone connections and streaming restrictions.
Which option fits your setup?
- Choose the CineBeam Q PU600U if you want a compact projector whose published features specifically combine AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth, and you can provide Wi-Fi plus cord or external-battery power.
- Consider the Optoma ML750i if low listed weight matters and you accept WXGA resolution and the additional Wi-Fi dongle for wireless iOS sharing.
- Consider the Epson Home Cinema 1100 if brightness and 1080p matter more than having a mini projector.
- Use HDMI if you want a wired iPhone connection or wireless mirroring is unsuitable, after confirming the right adapter and app compatibility.
These documented features do not establish a universal winner or a head-to-head performance ranking. Regional feature availability, firmware, local stock, and current pricing should be confirmed for the exact model you plan to buy.
