Connect and set up the mini PC
- Check both ends of the video connection. Match an output on the mini PC to an available input on the TV, using HDMI where both devices support it. Confirm that the resolution and refresh rate you want are supported by both.
- Connect the PC and select the TV input. Plug the video cable into the mini PC and TV, then use the TV’s input control to select that HDMI input.
- Position or mount the computer. If mounting behind the TV, verify VESA compatibility and bracket contents for the exact configuration. Leave room for ventilation and access to the power button, cables, and USB ports.
- Attach input devices. Connect or pair a keyboard and pointing device suited to how far you sit from the TV.
- Check the picture mode. Set the PC and TV to a display mode both support. If the image is blank or does not look right, recheck the selected TV input and the supported resolution and refresh-rate modes on both devices.
What to verify before buying
- The exact model or SKU, including regional differences.
- Video output type and supported resolution and refresh rate, compared with your TV’s inputs and modes.
- Performance appropriate to your workload, especially graphics capability for games.
- Memory, storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and the ports you expect to use.
- Whether a VESA bracket is included, plus mounting clearance and ventilation.
- Current local availability and the contents of the specific package.
