There is no officially tested “best” preset for large PvE battles: the official material reviewed does not verify a specific large PvE mode or publish mode-specific settings. For PC, start by lowering demanding graphics settings such as texture quality; if stuttering continues, follow the game’s driver and Windows GPU-selection troubleshooting. Treat the CPU-rendering test and shader compilation mode as optional features with caveats, not guaranteed fixes.
What settings should you try first on PC?
Marvel Rivals’ official FAQ advises lowering graphics settings when performance is slow and names texture quality as an example. It does not define a universal low, medium or high preset, or quantify how much performance any change should recover. Lower settings incrementally, then check whether the slow performance or stutter improves in the same conditions.

Published system requirements are a baseline rather than a promise of smooth performance in every fight. The official PC listings specify 16 GB RAM for both minimum and recommended configurations, and the FAQ notes that a machine meeting or exceeding the minimum can still perform slowly.

| PC requirement | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, AMD RX 580 or Intel Arc A380 | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (Super), AMD RX 5700-XT or Intel Arc A750 |

The FAQ recommends installing the game on an SSD for a better experience; it does not claim that doing so increases in-match frame rates or guarantees stable performance. Requirements and troubleshooting details are in the official Marvel Rivals FAQ.

What to do if stuttering persists
If your PC meets the requirements but you still frequently experience stuttering, the official FAQ recommends reinstalling the latest graphics driver for your GPU using clean installation mode, then setting the game to use the high-performance GPU in Windows.
- Download and clean-install the latest driver for your graphics card.
- Open Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics.
- Add Marvel Rivals’
Marvel.exeif it is not listed, then choose the high-performance graphics option for the game. - Restart the game and check whether the issue changes.
The FAQ also points players to its game-repair troubleshooting when performance remains slow. These steps are troubleshooting recommendations, not a guaranteed fix or a measured FPS improvement.

Should you enable the PC performance options?
CPU rendering performance optimization: a test
A March 19, 2026 official notice describes a CPU rendering performance optimization as available for testing on PC. If the option appears in your current client, open Settings > Other, select the entry, accept the privacy agreement, download the feature, and restart the game. The notice reports no measured frame-rate gain, and the option’s availability may change between client versions. See the official CPU rendering optimization notice.

The official April 10, 2025 announcement describes Switch Shader Compilation Mode as experimental. It may reduce memory use and memory-related FPS drops, frozen visuals or crashes. The publisher specifically suggests considering it for players with 16 GB RAM or less who have experienced significant drops, frozen screens or frequent crashes. Check the current launcher and game version for availability before changing it.

- Smooth motion: 240Hz refresh rate and fast 0.5ms response time provide crisp visuals and fluid movement with less input lag.
- Seamless gaming: FreeSync Premium and HDMI VRR eliminate tearing for smooth, responsive PC and console gameplay.
- Fast IPS: Faster 0.5ms response with excellent color accuracy across wide IPS viewing angles.
- Rich color: 99% sRGB color coverage delivers vivid, detailed imagery with strong accuracy.
- Eye comfort: TÜV Rheinland 3‑star certified display lowers blue light while preserving color quality.
The feature has trade-offs: some materials may render abnormally for a few frames at a match’s start, and their initial rendering may stutter. Systems with six or fewer CPU threads may stutter more if this mode and AMD FSR3 Frame Generation are enabled together. Details are in the official shader compilation announcement.
What should console players change?
The FAQ documents High Frame Rate (HFR) mode for PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X. Its instructions require a display compatible with HDMI 2.1 and a 120 Hz refresh rate. This console path is separate from PC graphics settings.

- Xbox Series X: Set the console’s system refresh rate to 120 Hz, restart the game, then select HFR Mode in Graphics Settings.
These are the FAQ’s setup steps, not a claim that HFR guarantees a particular frame rate in every encounter. The FAQ does not list PS5 Pro separately in its system video-setting sequence, so consult the current console and game menus if their labels differ.
Does this advice apply to large PvE battles?
The official materials cited here describe Marvel Rivals as a team-based PvP shooter and do not verify a specific large PvE mode or publish settings tested for one. Official update listings, including Version 20261001 dated October 1, 2026, can help confirm current game changes, but the existence of a particular PvE mode should be checked in the live game or a current official mode announcement before treating these recommendations as PvE-specific. See the official update listings and the official Marvel Rivals store listing.
