The key buying check is the exact model: a tracker can work with an iPhone without joining Apple’s Find My network. Of the options below, Chipolo’s current support documentation specifically lists POP, LOOP, and CARD as Find My-compatible models.
Start with the finding network, not the brand
Apple Find My compatibility is model-specific. Chipolo’s support page lists POP, LOOP, and CARD as compatible with the Apple Find My app; it says other Chipolo models cannot be added to that app. Check the model name on the product listing and packaging rather than assuming that every tracker from a brand works with Find My: Chipolo’s current compatibility list.

“Universal” or cross-platform can also mean that one device can be configured for different networks, not that it reports to both at once. Chipolo POP can be set up on Apple Find My or Google Find Hub, but only one network can be selected at a time. If you switch networks, it will not serve both ecosystems simultaneously. For keys or a bag: Chipolo POP
POP is the clearest fit in this group if you want a third-party tracker on Apple Find My and need a loop to attach it to a key ring or bag. Chipolo specifies a replaceable coin-cell battery rated for up to 12 months; that is the manufacturer’s stated maximum, not an independent battery test. The product page lists iOS 14.5 or later as the minimum for using POP with Apple Find My and recommends keeping iOS, iPadOS, or macOS up to date: Chipolo POP.
Do not expect AirTag-style Precision Finding from POP. Tom’s Guide reports that POP lacks Ultra Wideband support, the technology used for close-range directional guidance on compatible Apple devices. It can still be located through Find My, but the cited comparison does not establish equivalent precision-finding behavior: Tom’s Guide’s key-finder comparison.

For a wallet: Chipolo CARD (2025)
A thin card-shaped tracker is better suited to a wallet than a key-fob design. Android Central describes the 2025 Chipolo CARD as a thin card with Qi wireless charging. Because older CARD generations exist, verify that the listing is for the current CARD and confirm its Find My compatibility before ordering. Chipolo’s support list names CARD among its compatible products: Android Central’s Chipolo and Pebblebee comparison and Chipolo Support.

For Tile’s own app: Tile Pro (2024)
Tile Pro is an app-based alternative covered in product comparisons, but the sources cited here do not establish it as an Apple Find My accessory. Tile uses its own app, and some features may require a subscription. Consider it only if you are comfortable using Tile’s ecosystem rather than Apple’s Find My network: Chipolo’s comparison.
Check the generation before you buy
Product names can conceal discontinued generations. Chipolo says the ONE Spot, CARD Spot, ONE Point, and CARD Point were discontinued in 2025 and names POP, LOOP, and CARD as their replacements. The replacement names do not make every older listing equivalent: confirm the exact model and its supported finding network before purchase. What to compare on the product listing
- Network and app: Confirm that the exact model can be added to Apple Find My if that is essential. Check whether setup is exclusive to one network at a time.
- Shape and attachment: A tracker with a key-ring hole or clip suits keys and bags; a thin card is designed for wallet carry.
- Battery upkeep: Check whether the battery is replaceable or the tracker is rechargeable, and whether the stated battery life comes from the manufacturer or a review.
- Finding features: Compare alarm sound and visibility, water and dust resistance, and support for precision-finding technology. The cited materials do not establish all these specifications for every option.
- Ongoing requirements: Check whether features require a subscription, particularly for app-based alternatives.
- Listing generation: Match the full model name to current compatibility documentation; similar names do not guarantee the same network support.
