Apple announced the iPhone 18 Pro Max on September 9, 2026, with availability beginning September 18. MacRumors reports dimensions of 163.4 × 78 × 8.75 mm and a weight of 249 g, compared with 233 g for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Although the outer dimensions are reported as unchanged, the camera plateau is slightly thicker. If you use magnetic chargers, mounts or wallets

Compatibility can vary between versions, so check the exact listing. If you want to keep the phone slim

The Cairn adds bumpers and button covers, trading away some of that slimness. Consider whether reduced bulk is worth less coverage around the controls.

If grip or protection matters most
