There is no verified, current-build settings recipe for Burning Sword: Death Sun on low-end PCs. Start with the lowest graphics preset available, reduce render resolution only if the game offers that control, and test changes one at a time. Treat this as a troubleshooting starting point—not a tested configuration or a promise of a particular frame rate.
What settings should you lower first?
- Select the lowest available graphics preset. The current graphics menu and its preset names have not been authoritatively documented, so use the lowest option you can actually see in your build.
- Reduce render resolution or render scale if available. Make small changes and check whether motion becomes smoother while the image remains clear enough to play. Do not assume this control exists in every build.
- Turn off optional effects only if they bother you. For example, motion blur is a matter of visual preference; switching it off is not established as a performance fix for this game.
- Change one option at a time. Play the same kind of scene after each adjustment and compare smoothness, frame-time consistency, and image clarity. If a change makes the picture worse without a noticeable improvement, restore it.
This is general, reversible troubleshooting—not a configuration measured on Burning Sword: Death Sun. No current, controlled low-end-PC benchmark or authoritative guide to the current graphics menu establishes which individual options have the largest effect. Specific recommendations for shadows, foliage, view distance, ray tracing, DLSS, FSR, or frame generation would therefore be unverified.

Check your PC against the published requirements
Steam describes Burning Sword: Death Sun as a wuxia hack-and-slash action game powered by Unreal Engine 5. Its listed hardware requirements are demanding for a low-end PC. Compare your processor, graphics card, and memory with the published tiers below; meeting a requirement does not guarantee a particular frame rate.

These are Steam’s published requirements, not independent performance measurements. In particular, the listing does not establish that a PC at the minimum tier will maintain a specific FPS. Steam presents both a 50 GB available-space requirement and a separate 15 GB SSD note; check the live listing for current wording rather than trying to infer how those figures relate.

What earlier player reports can—and cannot—tell you
Community posts about earlier demo or prologue builds mention frame-rate fluctuation and stutter, as well as player experimentation with quality settings and DLSS. One player discussed using DLSS Balanced in an earlier demo context; those posts also describe later changes to upscaling and continuing instability. This is anecdotal, version-specific evidence—not confirmation that the current build includes those controls or that a particular mode is best.
Another player said they turned off motion blur because they disliked how it looked. That supports treating motion blur as a personal visual choice, not claiming that disabling it improves performance. Read the Steam community discussion for the context of those player reports.

When lowering settings may not be enough
If your GPU is below Steam’s listed minimum, graphics adjustments may help, but there is no evidence here that they will make performance acceptable. The same uncertainty applies to any below-minimum system: the available requirements do not reveal how the current build behaves on that hardware. Avoid buying a GPU or other hardware solely on the assumption that it will solve a specific performance problem; the outcome depends on the rest of the PC and has not been established by a controlled test for this game.
