NVIDIA’s OBS guidance points RTX 40 Series users to Hardware (NVENC, AV1) for YouTube, and a GPU-price comparison updated October 3, 2026 listed an RTX 4060 Ti 8GB at ₹49,990. That supports it as a practical option—not a proven winner in image quality or encoding performance against every alternative.
“Playlist” can mean a continuous broadcast of pre-recorded videos or simply the content being streamed. This comparison addresses encoding a 4K/60 live signal; it does not assess playlist scheduling or unattended broadcast tools.

Why the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB is the practical pick
NVIDIA’s OBS guide recommends choosing Hardware (NVENC, AV1) for YouTube when the PC has an RTX 40 Series GPU. That gives the RTX 4060 Ti a documented fit for an AV1 workflow in OBS. GPU PRIX’s price page, updated October 3, 2026, listed a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB at ₹49,990 on Amazon India, just below the budget. The listing is a price snapshot, not a guarantee of current stock, final delivered cost, or a specific Zotac SKU.
One tracker accessed October 3, 2026 showed Zotac RTX 4060 Ti 8GB variants at ₹50,000 through a retailer. Since that is at the cap and does not establish that the same exact card is available at the comparison-page price, check the model number, retailer, shipping, stock, and warranty before buying.

The available sources do not provide a like-for-like encoding test establishing that either card produces better AV1 stream quality. Do not use gaming benchmarks alone as a proxy for streaming-encoder quality. Compare the codec your software actually offers, stability while other GPU work is running, local price, PC compatibility, and any gaming or rendering you also plan to do.
Set the stream for YouTube’s 4K/60 requirements
YouTube Help lists RTMP/RTMPS ingest, H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1 video, and frame rates up to 60 fps. Its recommended 4K/2160p60 bitrate is 35 Mbps for AV1 or H.265 and 50 Mbps for H.264. These are YouTube Help recommendations; the page does not state a publication year and was accessed October 3, 2026.

- Codec: For an SDR stream on an RTX 40 Series card, AV1 is a relevant option if your encoder and streaming software expose it. YouTube’s documented settings do not support AV1 for HDR; it recommends H.265/HEVC for HDR.
- Bitrate: Use YouTube’s recommendation for the selected codec: 35 Mbps for AV1/H.265 or 50 Mbps for H.264 at 4K/60. A GPU cannot compensate for an upload connection that cannot sustain the stream.
- Rate control: YouTube specifies constant bitrate (CBR).
- Keyframes: YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe frequency and says it should not exceed four seconds.
- Transport: YouTube recommends RTMPS. YouTube Help states: “We recommend streaming to YouTube Live with RTMPS, a secure extension to the popular RTMP video streaming protocol.”
- SDR color: YouTube specifies Rec. 709 and 8-bit for SDR.
Use the stream settings and stream key provided in YouTube’s live-control workflow in the software you choose. Treat the key as a password: do not publish it or share it, and regenerate it through YouTube if it is exposed. The research here does not establish a specific YouTube Studio menu path or software-specific setup procedure, so check the current labels in your account and encoder rather than relying on a guessed path.
Check the whole 4K/60 chain before buying
A compatible encoder is only one part of the broadcast. The source video or generated scene must be 4K/60, the software must be able to select the intended codec and settings, and the PC must remain stable under its combined workload. Your internet upload must sustain the chosen bitrate with enough headroom for normal variation; a connection that fluctuates near the target can still interrupt delivery. YouTube’s ingest recommendation does not guarantee that your audience receives a 4K/60 stream.

- 4K60 Capture: Record in cinematic quality with crisp detail and vivid colors
- HFR Support: Play and capture in 1440p120 or 1080p240
- HDR10 Support: Capture brilliant HDR content with tone mapping on Windows
- Cross-Platform Compatible: Works with PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and more
- Analog Audio In: Capture in-game chat or commentary with 3.5mm input
- Confirm the exact GPU model fits your case and is supported by your power supply.
- Check that your streaming software offers the intended hardware encoder and codec on your system.
- Confirm the upload connection can sustain the selected bitrate reliably.
- Verify the source content, software output, and YouTube stream are all configured for 4K/60.
- For HDR, plan around H.265/HEVC rather than AV1 under YouTube’s documented settings.
Buying decision and troubleshooting
Choose the RTX 4060 Ti if
- You want the documented RTX 40 Series NVENC AV1 route in OBS for YouTube.
- You find the exact 8GB card at or below ₹50,000 after checking stock and delivered cost.
- Your power supply, case, and other workloads are compatible.
Consider the RX 9060 XT if
- Its current verified listing is meaningfully cheaper for your needs.
- Your software supports the codec and hardware-encoding workflow you intend to use.
- You can assess stability and output in your own setup; the cited prices are not an encoder-quality comparison.
If the stream does not behave as expected
- You cannot select AV1: Confirm the software and encoder support it on your installed GPU and settings. If not, select a YouTube-supported codec such as H.265 or H.264 and use that codec’s 4K/60 bitrate recommendation.
- Stream drops or buffers: Check upload stability and whether the connection can sustain the configured bitrate. Lowering the output bitrate or resolution may be necessary if it cannot.
- YouTube reports keyframe or bitrate problems: Check for CBR and a two-second keyframe interval; YouTube says the interval should not exceed four seconds.
- HDR setup conflicts with AV1: Use H.265/HEVC for HDR under YouTube’s documented settings.
- The card exceeds the budget at checkout: Recheck retailer, exact model, stock, shipping, and warranty; comparison listings can change and do not guarantee a delivered price.
Or let it run in the cloud
If “playlist” means looping uploaded videos continuously, a graphics card is not the only way to keep a YouTube stream running. StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps it running, so nothing has to stay on at home. Each slot streams your upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo or start the free day.
