We could not verify a dedicated free online tool that creates designed trading-screen screenshots among the services reviewed. The closest matches do different jobs: demo accounts and paper-trading simulators let you practice with simulated money, while chart readers analyze screenshots you provide. If you need a fictional trading-screen image for a mockup or illustration, label it clearly as simulated; if you want a picture of a real web page, a screenshot API can capture that page but will not invent an account balance or trade.
What counts as a trading screenshot generator?
The phrase can describe three different tasks, and mixing them up can lead to misleading images or the wrong tool:
- A screenshot generator creates or lets you design an image representing a trading interface. Useful features might include editable symbols, balances, dates, layouts and export settings. The services reviewed did not establish a dedicated free product in this category.
- A demo account or paper-trading simulator displays a simulated account or simulated trades so you can practice. It is for trading practice, not for designing an arbitrary screenshot.
- A screenshot reader takes an existing chart image and analyzes it. The image goes in; analysis comes out. It does not create a trading screen.
Before choosing a service, decide whether you need to create an illustrative image, practice trades, analyze a chart, or capture a real page already on the web. Those are separate needs.
Free services reviewed—and what they actually do
The services below are relevant alternatives, not verified trading screenshot generators. Free access, balances, market-data treatment and eligibility can change, so check each provider’s current terms and availability in your country.

#1 Best Overall
| Service | What it offers | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| IG demo account | IG describes its demo as a simulated market environment and currently advertises $20,000 in virtual funds with access to a version of its online platform. The balance is IG’s advertised product feature, not a general market figure. | It is a practice account, not a tool for composing arbitrary trading screenshots. |
| Moomoo paper trading | Moomoo says app users can paper trade for free using virtual funds and live market data, without first establishing a brokerage account. It advertises starting with $1 million in virtual money. | The virtual balance and simulated results are practice features, not evidence of a live account or successful real-world trading. Moomoo’s disclosure says simulated orders and results do not ensure success in live trading. |
| TickForge | TickForge describes chart screenshot analysis and a practice environment using algorithmically generated synthetic chart data. The provider says its prices are not exchange data or historical records. | Chart analysis is not screenshot creation. Synthetic charts are practice material, not a record of actual market activity. |
| FundedReady.org | FundedReady.org describes a browser-based simulator that plays simulated candles; it says its courses and modes are currently available without an account or payment card. | The service says it is not a funded account, broker or live market terminal, and it is not a screenshot generator. |
These descriptions are attributed to the providers’ pages: IG’s “Demo Trading Account: Try IG’s Paper Trading Simulator”; Moomoo’s “Moomoo Paper Trading | Free Stock & Options Simulator”; TickForge’s “Free Paper Trading — Practice Charts With No Broker” and “AI Chart Reader & Market Replay Simulator”; and FundedReady.org’s “Free Trading Simulator — Practice Before You Pay.”
Choose the right option for your goal
For practice trading
Use a demo account or simulator, and treat its balances and results as simulated. IG and Moomoo describe virtual-fund practice; TickForge and FundedReady.org describe synthetic or simulated chart practice. A simulator’s account display is not evidence that a real transaction occurred. In particular, TickForge says its chart, tick, candle, price and volume data are synthetic rather than exchange data or historical records.

- As a day trader, you can live and work anywhere in the world. You can decide when to work and when not to work.
- You only answer to yourself. That is the life of the successful day trader. Many people aspire to it, but very few succeed. Day trading is not gambling or an online poker game.
- To be successful at day trading you need the right tools and you need to be motivated, to work hard, and to persevere.
For chart interpretation
A chart reader may be useful when you already have an image and want it analyzed. TickForge describes this kind of screenshot analysis. Check whether a candidate accepts the image format you have and what its analysis does; do not mistake image analysis for a tool that generates an account screen.
For a mockup, presentation or educational illustration
Look for a product that explicitly lets you create and export an image, rather than one that merely simulates trades. Verify that it supports the screen layout you need and lets you edit the relevant values. Make fictional figures visibly illustrative—for example, add “SIMULATED” or “DEMO” inside the image—so a cropped or reposted screenshot is less likely to be mistaken for a real trade or account statement.

For a screenshot of a real website
A browser screenshot tool or screenshot API can capture a web page that is accessible to it. This is useful for documenting a public page you are allowed to capture, but it does not create fictitious balances, trades or a custom trading interface. A capture of a simulated account should still be identified as simulated.
How to assess a claimed free screenshot generator
Because the services reviewed do not establish a verified generator to rank, use these checks before entering data or publishing an exported image:
Rank #4
- Ideal for Gifting
- Ideal for a bookworm
- Comes with Proper Binding
- Confirm it creates images. Look for an explicit create, edit or export function. “Paper trading,” “demo account,” “chart replay” and “AI chart reader” do not, by themselves, mean screenshot generation.
- Check what can be edited. For a designed example, confirm whether you can change the symbol, balance, date, labels, order ticket and chart layout. Do not assume a practice account lets you set arbitrary values.
- Check the real cost of “free.” Find out whether free access is ongoing or a trial, whether registration or a payment card is required, and whether exporting, resolution or watermark removal is restricted. The reviewed sources do not establish these terms for a dedicated generator.
- Inspect the image before sharing. Make clear when prices, trades, balances or charts are simulated. Do not present a generated or simulated P&L as proof of a real account or transaction.
- Review privacy and reuse terms. Avoid uploading account identifiers or private statements to an unverified service. Before using an output publicly or commercially, check the service’s data-retention, image-sharing and license terms. Those rights were not established for the candidates reviewed.
Make a clearly fictional example without a generator
If your goal is a presentation or tutorial image, a simple static mockup is safer than altering a real account screenshot. Create a basic page with obviously fictional labels and values, open it in a browser, and use the browser’s built-in screenshot or operating-system capture feature. Keep “SIMULATED” visible in the resulting image. Browser menus and capture shortcuts differ by browser and operating system; use the current help for your device if you need a full-page capture.
For a more polished mockup, use a design tool or a small HTML page, but do not copy a broker’s branding in a way that suggests the image came from that provider. Use invented account names and values, and make the illustrative status part of the visible design rather than relying on a caption that could be detached.

If you need a screenshot of an existing publicly accessible page—not a fabricated trading screen—ScreenshotNeo can capture a URL through one GET request. Its API supports PNG, JPEG or WebP screenshots and PDF output; the API documentation is at ScreenshotNeo docs. For example, this cURL request captures the supplied Stripe URL; replace it with a page you are authorized to capture:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
Python:
import requests
r = requests.get("https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot", params={"access_key": "YOUR_API_KEY", "url": "https://stripe.com"}, timeout=90)
open("shot.webp", "wb").write(r.content)
Node.js:
const q = new URLSearchParams({ access_key: 'YOUR_API_KEY', url: 'https://stripe.com' });
const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);
ScreenshotNeo accepts cookie or consent banners and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups and chat widgets before capture; each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads and cache hits are not billed, and response headers report the page verdict and billing status. It also offers an MCP server with take_screenshot, get_page_info and capture_pdf for AI agents. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots. These features help capture real pages cleanly, but do not turn a live page into an editable fictional trading interface. Learn about ScreenshotNeo.

Quick Recap
Common mistakes and fixes
- You get a practice account instead of an image editor: check whether the service exports a designed image at all. If it only places simulated trades, it is a simulator, not a generator.
- A chart reader does not make a screenshot: its input is an existing chart image. Use an image editor or mockup workflow if you need to create the image itself.
- A screenshot looks like proof of a real trade: add a prominent simulated/demo label inside the image and avoid real provider branding that could mislead viewers.
- A supposed free tool asks for sensitive account information: stop and check its provider, privacy and retention terms. A fictional mockup should not require exposing a real brokerage login or private account statement.
- A web-page capture omits content or looks cluttered: distinguish a capture problem from a generator limitation. Dynamic content, access restrictions and page layout can affect what a browser-based capture sees; ScreenshotNeo’s docs describe its available capture settings. Do not use a page capture as a substitute for a designed mockup.
