Luna streams a rotating catalog—including Bluey: The Videogame, WALL-E, Brave and group games—while Amazon Appstore games are downloaded separately and may contain advertising or purchases. Prime is a paid membership; “included with Prime” does not mean Prime itself is free.

Best Prime-included Luna games
The following are editorial picks from Amazon’s August 2026 Luna Standard lineup and July updates. Luna availability rotates, so check the title’s listing when you play. The Prime Video Games tab announced by Amazon is for Prime members using Fire TV in the United States and United Kingdom; elsewhere, open the Luna app if it is available.
1. Bluey: The Videogame — best family choice
Bluey’s familiar characters, minigames, collectibles, unlockables, solo play and co-op make it the easiest starting point for younger children. It is streamed through Luna, included with Prime only while it remains in the rotating catalog, and needs a supported controller or phone-controller method. Amazon’s August 2026 lineup.

2. Disney/Pixar: WALL-E — best gentle session
This slower, story-led Pixar setting is less intimidating than combat-focused games and suits short family sessions. It is an August Luna Standard title, not a permanent purchase, and actual controls and performance vary with Fire TV hardware and network conditions. Lineup details.
3. Disney/Pixar Brave: The Video Game — best family action-adventure
Exploration, sword-and-bow combat, a magical curse and a quest to save a kingdom offer more depth for older children and adults. Combat and more involved controls make it a weaker fit for very young players. It is included in the August Luna lineup while listed. Amazon’s description.
4. Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles — best GameNight pick
Amazon positions this as a group adventure in the animated series’ Gotham City. GameNight titles can use phones as controllers, making it practical for a living room without several gamepads. Confirm that it is still in your Luna catalog before starting. Current lineup.
5. Courtroom Chaos: Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger — best without a controller
Players use phones to improvise testimony, create characters and argue cases while an AI-powered Arnold Schwarzenegger acts as judge. It is designed for parties and demonstrates why a physical controller is not always necessary. Amazon introduced it in the July 2026 update. July Luna update.

6. Centipede Swarm — best cooperative arcade action
This one-to-four-player cooperative twin-stick shooter has players fighting insect hordes and a transforming Centipede. It suits teenagers and adults more than small children; compatible physical controllers may be needed for the session. Amazon’s July announcement.
7. Jackbox Party Pack 8 — best large group, if still listed
Amazon’s July update describes five party games for up to 10 players with phones replacing extra controllers. Because Luna rotates, treat this as a “check availability” recommendation rather than a permanent inclusion. July lineup.
8. Sonic Mania Plus — best retro platformer
This 2D Sonic platformer adds playable characters and Encore mode, with Amazon describing 60-fps gameplay. Fast movement is considerably better with a physical gamepad than touch controls. Its inclusion is subject to Luna rotation. Amazon’s Sonic Mania Plus listing.
9. Dispatch — best choice-driven game
This superhero workplace comedy focuses on managing misfit heroes and making strategic and relationship decisions rather than reflex-heavy combat. It is a strong adult or older-teen option when present in the catalog. Amazon’s description.

Amazon also names larger games such as Hogwarts Legacy, EA Sports FC 26 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in its evolving Prime Luna offering. Check your regional Luna interface for current access instead of assuming every named title is available today. Prime Video and Luna announcement.
Downloaded Appstore games: the non-Prime route
You can use compatible free Appstore games without Prime, but availability, install size, controller support, advertising, purchases, offline behavior and update dates differ by title and storefront. Rather than rely on an outdated generic Android list, check the actual U.S. Fire TV listing:
- Open Games from the Fire TV Home screen. If it is absent, open Find and enter the games area.
- Open a title’s detail page and verify that it is compatible with your exact Fire TV model and operating system.
- Read the listing for ads, in-app purchases, subscriptions, controller requirements and any offline claim.
- Select Get to download, then open the game after installation.
Amazon says the Games area is supported on Fire OS 5 or later, while Kids profiles cannot access it. Fire TV Games help.
Play without buying a controller
GameNight titles such as Courtroom Chaos, Batman and Jackbox are the best candidates for phone control. For conventional games, a physical pad is preferable. Amazon lists the Luna Controller, PlayStation 4 DualShock 4, Xbox One controller and Google Stadia controller as compatible options; other pads may pair but may not expose every feature. - Getting set up is easy – Plug in and connect to Wi-Fi for smooth streaming.
Set up a phone as a Luna controller
- Install the Luna Controller app on your phone and sign in to the same Amazon account used on Fire TV.
- Open Luna on Fire TV.
- In the phone app, choose Play With Phone Controller.
- Choose Launch under Phone Controller.
- Wait for the phone to connect, then select and launch the game.
Follow Amazon’s sequence exactly rather than pairing the phone as a generic Bluetooth pad. Phone-controller instructions.
Start a Luna game on Fire TV
- Open Luna directly, or open Prime Video and choose the Games tab where that feature is available.
- Select a title and choose Play with Amazon Luna or the on-screen launch command.
- Pair a compatible controller, or complete the phone-controller setup above.
Luna games are cloud-streamed, so they require a stable internet connection. Appstore games are downloaded locally, although you should not assume a particular title works fully offline without checking its listing or testing it.

Fire TV Sticks, Fire TV Cube and Fire TV televisions do not all have identical storage, radios, processors or software. Amazon’s current device materials distinguish Fire OS products from newer Vega OS devices, including the 2026 Fire TV Stick 4K Select. Check the exact model, OS version, free storage, app availability and controller pairing support before installing or buying anything. Amazon Fire TV device portal and regional marketplace guidance.
Fix common problems
The Games menu is missing
Open Find and select the games area. Confirm that you are not using a Kids profile, which cannot access Games. Amazon help.

A Luna game will not start
Restart Luna, update Fire TV software, verify that the model is supported, check the controller connection and confirm that the title is still available in your region and access tier. Network instability can also stop a streamed session.
The phone controller will not connect
Sign out and back in to the same Amazon account on both devices, reopen Luna on Fire TV, relaunch Launch under Phone Controller and wait for the connection before opening the game. Official setup sequence.
A Prime PC claim is not visible on Fire TV
That claim may belong to GOG, Epic Games Store, Legacy Games or Amazon Games App and therefore require a computer. Do not treat a PC entitlement as a Fire TV-native game. August 2026 Prime update.
A controller works in one game but not another
Compatibility is not identical across titles. Amazon warns that unlisted controllers may work without supporting every feature; check the game’s requirements and try an officially listed pad. Controller guidance.

Important Luna change for older guides
Since April 10, 2026, Luna no longer sells individual games, third-party subscriptions or third-party stores, and no longer supports Bring Your Own Library. Previously purchased titles remained playable only until June 10, 2026. Advice telling readers to buy a Luna game or connect an EA, GOG or Ubisoft library is outdated. Amazon’s policy notice.
