Roku Streaming Stick 4K: the closest match
Roku’s model 3820R2 is the most direct fit if you want a small streamer plugged into an HDMI port rather than a separate box. Roku specifies output up to 2160p at 60 fps and support for Dolby Vision, HDR10/HDR10+ and HLG on compatible TVs. Its dual-band 802.11ac MIMO Wi-Fi avoids a wired-network requirement, and the included voice remote controls TV power, volume and mute.
Roku lists compatibility with Apple AirPlay and HomeKit, Google Home and Alexa. That does not guarantee every related app or feature is available in every country. Check the local Roku product listing and app availability before choosing it for a particular service or smart-home setup.

Google TV Streamer (4K): Ethernet, storage and Google Home
Google TV Streamer is the clearest option here if you want a wired connection without adding a separate network adapter. Google specifies built-in Ethernet, 32 GB of storage, up to 4K HDR with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, and smart-home features that position the device as a Google Home and Matter hub with Thread built in. It takes more space than a stick, so weigh those features against the smaller footprint of stick-style hardware. Details are on Google’s product page.

How to make the choice
- Decide on the form factor. Choose Roku Streaming Stick 4K for a stick; choose a box if Ethernet, storage, USB playback or your preferred platform matters more.
- Match the HDR formats. Check your TV’s manual for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 or HLG, then confirm the streamer and the content service support the format you use.
- Check network needs. A box with built-in Ethernet can suit a wired setup; the Roku stick uses Wi-Fi. For Google’s 4K guidance, the recommended internet speed is at least 20 Mbps.
- Verify local availability and price. Check the manufacturer or authorized retailer for the exact model sold in your country, current price and the apps you need. The cited US Roku and Google prices are page snapshots, not ongoing price guarantees.
- Confirm the HDMI chain. Check HDCP 2.2 support on the TV port and any receiver or soundbar in between, along with the cable and content requirements for the device you select.
