Can Stream Deck control Twitch chat and clips?
Yes. Elgato’s Twitch integration exposes actions such as chat messages, clips, markers, ads, stream information, chat modes, and Shield Mode. The available actions are separate from OBS scene controls: use the Twitch integration for channel tasks and OBS Studio for production controls. Link your Twitch account in Stream Deck preferences before adding Twitch actions. How to choose and install a plugin
- Start with the task. Decide whether you need OBS scene, source, audio, or recording control; Twitch channel actions; or a shortcut for another app or device.
- Check compatibility on the current listing. Compare the stated operating system and Stream Deck app requirements with your computer. The OBS plugin’s requirements are more specific and newer than Elgato’s general installation guide, so use the plugin listing for that plugin.
- Check accounts and subscriptions. Elgato’s general Marketplace installation workflow requires a Marketplace account. Twitch actions need a connected Twitch account, while BarRaider Spotify Integration is listed as requiring Spotify Premium.
- Find the plugin in Elgato Marketplace. Elgato says the former Stream Deck Store closed in April 2024 and was replaced by Elgato Marketplace. Its plugin installation guide describes filtering by operating system, plugin type, dial support, and sorting by popularity, recency, or alphabetical order.
- Install and configure it in Stream Deck. Follow the listing and app prompts, then add the actions you need to keys or dials and test them before relying on them during a live broadcast. Exact prompts may vary as the app and listing change.
- Add integrations selectively. Install Discord, Spotify, or lighting controls only when the corresponding service or hardware is already part of your setup; check its live listing for behavior and requirements.
