Will your Meta Quest headset work?
Xbox lists Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest 3S as supported for Xbox cloud gaming. The listed headset compatibility does not mean every game is available in every region or on every plan; check Xbox’s current catalog and supported-region information for your account and location. How to pair an Xbox controller with Meta Quest
- On your headset, download the Xbox Cloud Gaming app from the Meta Quest Store.
- Open the app and follow its tutorial to pair a supported controller. For an Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox specifies a Bluetooth-capable model.
- Log in with an active Game Pass subscription, then select a cloud-playable game available to your plan and region.
Xbox says most cloud-playable games in the Quest app require an active Game Pass subscription, with some exceptions. Game availability can change and varies by region, plan, and platform; check the Quest support page and Xbox cloud gaming catalog for current details.

Connection guidance for cloud play
Xbox’s Quest-specific page recommends 5 GHz Wi-Fi and a 20 Mbps download connection. Its general cloud-gaming guidance gives 10 Mbps down as a minimum and says some devices may need 20 Mbps for best quality; it also recommends 5 GHz Wi-Fi. What the compatibility list does—and does not—tell you
Xbox’s published list establishes that the named controller options are supported. It does not compare latency, comfort, battery life, or responsiveness, or confirm whether Elite-only controls such as paddles or remapping work in the Quest app. Choose the standard Xbox Wireless Controller for the clearest supported Xbox-style option, consider the Elite Series 2 if you specifically want a premium controller, or try the Quest controllers you already have.
