For a volunteer-led church in India, the best choice depends on whether you need a browser-based production studio or simply a way to send a prepared video to YouTube. StreamYard is a sensible first service to evaluate for a live, guest-oriented studio; Restream is worth comparing when simultaneous destinations matter. If the requirement is to keep uploaded videos looping on YouTube around the clock, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option—not a live camera-production studio. None of these services bypasses YouTube’s channel eligibility rules or grants rights to worship music.
Choose the workflow before choosing the service
These options are not identical products. YouTube is the destination platform; StreamYard and Restream are third-party production or distribution services; an encoder is a workflow for sending a live feed to YouTube. A cloud studio can reduce local production setup, while an encoder workflow can make sense for a church that already has a production computer, camera and audio chain, and an operator.
- Choose a browser studio if volunteers need a browser-based way to manage guests, overlays, branding, or recordings.
- Compare multistreaming services if the church needs to send one program to several destinations at once.
- Use an encoder workflow if the church already operates cameras and audio hardware and has someone able to manage the encoder.
- Choose a 24/7 loop service only if the goal is to keep uploaded videos playing as a YouTube live stream, rather than broadcast a live Sunday service from cameras.
Best 24/7 cloud option for looping uploaded videos
1. StreamNeo — keeps uploaded videos live on YouTube from the cloud, at any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with the first day free.
StreamNeo is for uploaded recordings and playlists, not a live camera feed or a browser production studio. Add a YouTube stream key once, upload a video or build a playlist, and start the stream. It loops from the cloud, so a home or church computer does not have to remain on. Each slot includes one always-on YouTube stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and StreamNeo team support. Uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, with no re-encode or quality tiers.

Best browser studio to evaluate for a church service
StreamYard: a reasonable first evaluation
StreamYard lists YouTube as a destination and describes studio, recording, branding, participant, and multistreaming features, with availability varying by plan. That makes it a reasonable service to evaluate if volunteers need a browser-based production environment rather than just an encoder sending a feed to YouTube. The published feature list does not establish that it is the best choice for every church, nor does it provide independent comparative reliability testing.

Check organizational eligibility before buying. StreamYard says its Free, Core, and Advanced individual plans are intended for personal use or individuals working with collaborators, and describes a Business plan for organizations. A church should confirm that its intended organizational use is permitted for the plan it is considering. Its pricing page says prices can vary with promotions, seasonal offers, renewal terms, and custom offers; it allows USD or INR. Get the current India checkout amount, billing currency, tax treatment, and renewal cost rather than relying on a price seen elsewhere. The plan page also lists two hours per month of local recordings for the Free plan; confirm current limits for the plan you intend to use.
Restream: compare it when destination count matters
Restream publishes active-channel limits by plan: Free supports 2, Standard 3, Professional 5, Business 8, and Enterprise 25+. These are product limits, not measures of service performance. Its help page says Facebook Pages and custom RTMP channels require a paid plan; paid plans add features such as Full HD, live recording, and a website player. Confirm the exact plan features and current India checkout terms for the destinations and production workflow you need.

Confirm YouTube access and service permissions
YouTube’s rules apply regardless of which third-party studio or encoder the church uses. YouTube Help says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Enable live streaming for the channel and check its current status in YouTube Studio before scheduling a service. The reviewed sources do not establish a separate India-only eligibility rule for church streams.
StreamYard’s help documentation says its workflow avoids the 1,000-subscriber threshold associated with YouTube mobile-app streaming. That vendor statement does not remove YouTube’s other requirements or restrictions. Do not confuse the mobile-app threshold with encoder or browser-studio access; check the channel’s live status and the requirements for the actual workflow.

Copyright and worship music need separate attention
YouTube Help says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A stream may be interrupted or terminated when a match is detected. YouTube also says licensed content may still require the rights holder to add the channel to a Content ID allowlist. A subscription to StreamYard, Restream, or any other streaming service is not proof that the church has permission to broadcast songs or recordings. Check rights for the specific works and the intended online use before the service.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a prerecorded prayer, devotional, hymn recording, or other uploaded program intended to loop on YouTube, StreamNeo works in three steps: upload a recording or build a playlist, add the YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it streams uploaded videos at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one price per slot; and it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. It is for uploaded videos, not live camera production. Start at StreamNeo’s free trial.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a church stream to YouTube with fewer than 1,000 subscribers?
StreamYard says its workflow avoids the 1,000-subscriber threshold for YouTube mobile-app streaming, but the channel must still meet YouTube’s other live-stream requirements.
Does a streaming-service subscription cover worship-music rights?
No. The church must separately confirm its rights to livestream the specific music and recordings it uses.
