For a continuous YouTube channel that loops recorded sermons, start with StreamNeo or Gyre; for a live weekly service, evaluate Restream or StreamYard instead. “Continuous” can mean an unattended 24/7 stream of prerecorded sermons, or a real service produced and broadcast as it happens. Those are different workflows, and a browser studio for live production should not be assumed to provide an unlimited prerecorded loop.
Choose the service for the kind of continuous stream you mean
- Always-on sermon archive: You want YouTube to play uploaded recordings around the clock, without an operator continuously running a computer. Consider StreamNeo or Gyre.
- Live weekly worship: You are broadcasting a camera and microphones during a service, with someone managing the production. Consider Restream or StreamYard.
- Both: You may need separate tools or workflows: one for live services and another for unattended recorded-video playout. Confirm that a provider supports the exact schedule and destinations you need.
YouTube describes Gyre as a cloud tool for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded video. Its encoder guidance also explains that an encoder may be software or dedicated hardware that prepares a video feed for YouTube Live. YouTube’s encoder guidance is a useful distinction between production and prerecorded playout.
Best services by church workflow
1. StreamNeo — best for an always-on prerecorded sermon loop
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live; the service loops the videos from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to remain on. It is the clearest fit here for a church seeking an unattended YouTube sermon stream: any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps streams as made, at one flat price per slot, and the first day is free.
Every slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and StreamNeo team support. All plans have the same features; the billing period changes. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only and plays uploaded videos rather than a live camera feed.

Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Billing options: Daily $0.99 per day · Weekly $2.99 per week · Monthly $9.99 per month · 6 months $49.99 for 6 months · Yearly $89.99 a year. The first day is free with no card, once per account. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support.
2. Gyre — a YouTube-listed option for 24/7 prerecorded video
YouTube’s encoder directory describes Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos on YouTube, without a camera or dedicated PC. That makes it relevant to an always-on sermon archive, not evidence that it is a live worship production studio or the best choice for a weekly camera-led service. Check current plan terms, video scheduling limits, and how it handles the archive before committing. YouTube lists Gyre in its encoder directory.

3. Restream — a church-oriented workspace for live services and scheduled messages
Restream’s church page covers live services, streaming to multiple destinations, preparing event details and destinations in advance, saved service drafts, team collaboration on eligible plans, and sermon clips. It also describes scheduling prerecorded sermons or devotionals through Upload & Stream. That prerecorded feature is paid, with limits that depend on plan; do not treat it as an unlimited 24/7 loop. The page says the free plan supports up to two simultaneous channels with destination restrictions, and Facebook Pages require a paid plan. Check the current plan details against your destinations, team access, and intended schedule. See Restream’s church streaming workflow.
4. StreamYard — a browser studio for volunteer-led production
StreamYard is a candidate for browser-based live production, branding, team workflows, overlays, recordings, and multistreaming. Its pricing page describes custom RTMP destinations and plan-dependent prerecorded streaming allowances, but the reviewed information does not establish it as a dedicated unattended 24/7 sermon-loop service. Treat it as a live-production option unless its current terms confirm the specific prerecorded schedule you need. Check StreamYard’s current plans and features.

StreamYard’s support documentation says paid plans have no StreamYard-side streaming duration limit, while destinations can have their own limits. Its current stated recording caps are 10 hours on Core, Advanced, and Teams, and 24 hours on Business; storage limits can stop recording when full even if broadcasting continues. These are StreamYard plan limits, not a guarantee that YouTube will retain a complete recording. See StreamYard’s streaming and recording limits.
What to compare before choosing
| Option | Best fit | Operator and workflow | Key limit or check |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Unattended YouTube loop of uploaded sermons | Cloud playout; upload, add the YouTube stream key, go live | 10 GB storage per slot, pooled across active slots; YouTube only |
| Gyre | 24/7 prerecorded video on YouTube | Cloud-based prerecorded streaming | Confirm current terms and scheduling limits |
| Restream | Live church services, multistreaming, and occasional scheduled messages | Cloud workspace, with team and saved-workflow features on eligible plans | Prerecorded streaming is paid and plan-limited; confirm destination restrictions |
| StreamYard | Browser-based live production and branding | Studio workflow for a person or team running a broadcast | Recording, storage, and prerecorded allowances depend on plan; not established here as a 24/7 loop service |
Also assess destination count, who will operate each service, shared team access, overlays and other production tools, recording and archive needs, storage, and total plan cost. Vendor terms change, so verify the current plan before a church relies on it for a recurring schedule.

Set up YouTube Live before the first service
A church’s YouTube channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to enable live streaming. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable and test it well before the service. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance covers channel access and restrictions.
- Enable live streaming in advance. Confirm the channel is eligible and allow time for first-time activation, which YouTube says may take up to 24 hours.
- Create or schedule the stream in YouTube Studio. Use the stream setup for the event or ongoing broadcast.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key. Enter both into the chosen encoder or service. Keep the key private; anyone with access may be able to broadcast to the channel.
- Check the preview before going live. Confirm the expected picture and audio reach YouTube, then start the broadcast in the encoder or cloud service.
- Plan for the archive separately. YouTube automatically archives streams under 12 hours. For a longer uninterrupted stream, do not rely on YouTube to save one complete archive; arrange separate recording and backup if the full sermon library matters.
YouTube requires live content to comply with its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service and can restrict live-streaming access. Churches should verify that they have rights to music, recorded performances, and other material in sermons that are broadcast or replayed. The relevant licensing requirements depend on the material and jurisdiction; do not assume that owning a recording automatically grants permission to rebroadcast every song in it. Review YouTube’s live-streaming rules.

Optional hardware for a live camera feed
A dedicated encoder is not required for every church. YouTube’s verified encoder directory lists AJA HELO Plus as a standalone H.264 encoder for streaming directly to YouTube Live, with recording options. It is a hardware route for a live feed, not a substitute for a cloud service that continuously plays prerecorded sermons. A software encoder or browser studio may be a better fit where reducing equipment and setup burden matters. Check YouTube’s encoder directory.
Or let it run in the cloud
For an unattended YouTube loop, upload sermons to StreamNeo, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; uploaded videos stream at their original quality up to 4K 60fps for one price per slot; and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly is $9.99 per month. In India, UPI works as well as cards. Start the free day with StreamNeo.
Quick Recap
Troubleshooting common setup problems
- Live streaming is unavailable: Check channel verification and whether the channel has had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. If this is first activation, allow up to 24 hours.
- YouTube shows no incoming signal: Recheck that the stream URL and stream key were copied into the intended service and that the broadcast was started. If needed, generate or select the correct stream setup in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- The stream ends or reconnects: Check the service’s recovery behavior and YouTube status in the control room. A cloud playout service can keep the source computer out of the dependency chain; recovery does not remove the need to verify that YouTube is receiving the stream again.
- The archive is incomplete: YouTube’s automatic archive applies to streams under 12 hours. For longer runs, use a separate recording and backup plan rather than assuming the entire stream will be retained.
- A recording stops while the broadcast continues: For StreamYard, check plan recording caps and storage capacity; its documentation says full storage can disable recording without stopping the broadcast. Also check the destination’s own limits.
- A sermon or song is blocked or restricted: Review the rights to every included performance and recording and check YouTube’s notice or restriction. A church service being religious does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast copyrighted music.
