GetFullPage is the clearest starting point when lazy-loaded content is the priority: its Chrome Web Store listing explicitly describes lazy-content support and configurable limits for infinite scrolling. GoFullPage is a straightforward alternative for whole-page captures, while FullPageShot is candid about several cases it may not capture completely. These are vendor-described capabilities, not results from a controlled comparison.

For a normal page with a fixed set of images that loads as you scroll, an extension that scrolls the page can prompt the browser to load content below the initial viewport. For an endlessly growing or virtualized feed, no option here promises one complete image: content can be replaced as it moves off-screen, and extensions may impose limits.

How to capture a page that loads as you scroll
- Open the page in Chrome and scroll through every section you need included. Pause where images or other content need time to appear.
- If the page scrolls inside a panel rather than the main document, choose an extension whose listing describes inner or nested scroll support. Treat support described as “most” as a qualification, not a guarantee.
- Start the extension’s capture and let it finish scrolling and composing the result.
- Inspect the top, middle, and bottom for blank areas, missing items, duplicated sticky headers, or breaks where content was stitched. If the page uses a custom scroller or virtualized feed, try another capture approach or capture sections separately.
- Choose PNG or JPEG for an image deliverable, or PDF when a paginated document is more useful. Check whether the PDF is multi-page and review the result before sharing.
GoFullPage’s publisher specifically recommends closing information bars or pop-ups, scrolling the page, and loading content before capture. Its FAQ also says the extension cannot access PDF documents for scrolling and that some sites use custom JavaScript to manage scrolling. Read the GoFullPage FAQ.

What “lazy-loaded” means for screenshot capture
Lazy loading typically means a site waits until an image or other element is near the visible area before loading it. Scrolling down the page can trigger that loading, but a screenshot extension cannot guarantee that every site’s scripts finish in time or behave like ordinary document scrolling.

- Fixed page with lazy images: scrolling through the sections first gives the browser an opportunity to load them. Verify that they rendered before relying on the capture.
- Nested scroll panel: the content may live in a separate scrollable region. Check for explicit inner-panel support and inspect the output carefully.
- Infinite or virtualized feed: the page may continually add items or remove off-screen ones. GetFullPage describes configurable safety limits; FullPageShot explicitly identifies these feeds as a limitation. Neither description establishes that an entire endless feed can fit in one complete image.
- Embedded frame: content inside a frame may behave differently from the main page. FullPageShot notes that some lazy content inside embedded frames may not capture fully.
Compare more than the capture button
Before choosing an extension, match its stated behavior to the page and deliverable you need:
- Loading behavior: does the extension scroll to prompt lazy content to appear, and does the publisher advise pre-scrolling?
- Scroll model: does it describe support for nested panels or frames if the page uses them?
- Feed limits: does it explain how infinite scrolling is handled, or name virtualized content as a limitation?
- Output and editing: compare image formats, PDF pagination, cropping, annotations, and any editor restrictions.
- Privacy and permissions: read the current store listing’s developer-provided privacy disclosure and requested permissions. These disclosures help you compare extensions but are not independent security audits.
- Listing identity and compatibility: confirm the publisher, current version, and Chrome requirements on the live listing before installation.
Store user and rating counts change over time and do not establish capture quality. A large count is not evidence that an extension will handle a particular site’s lazy loading, frames, or custom scrolling.

Can a full-page extension capture every item in an infinite-scroll feed?
Not reliably as one complete screenshot. Virtualized feeds may remove content as you scroll, and extensions may apply safety limits.

Why is part of my screenshot blank or missing?
The page may not have finished loading its lazy content, or it may use a nested scroller, embedded frame, or custom scrolling behavior. Pre-scroll where appropriate, wait for rendering, and inspect the capture.
Will these extensions scroll inside a PDF document?
GoFullPage’s FAQ says its extension cannot access PDF documents for scrolling. Check the relevant extension’s current documentation for other cases.
