The Chrome Web Store listing and changelog record version 8.9 on September 24, 2026, including a fix for a new URL requirement in Chromium 153 and improved dialogs. Older changelog entries describe PDF export, landscape layout, and smart page splitting. What to expect on long or interactive pages
- Because the extension scrolls while assembling the capture, content that loads only after scrolling may affect the result.
- The Firefox listing warns that a very large page can exceed the browser’s ability to store one image; in rare cases, the capture may be split into images in separate tabs.
- Store descriptions do not establish comparative speed, accuracy, or reliability. Inspect the exported PDF before relying on it as a complete record.
Capture a full-page image in Firefox
- Open the webpage you want to capture.
- Right-click the page and choose Take Screenshot, or press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows/Linux or Command+Shift+S on Mac.
- Choose Save full page rather than Save visible.
- Save or copy the resulting image. To make a PDF from it, use an image-to-PDF workflow; Firefox’s documented screenshot feature itself saves or copies images.

Save a webpage as a print-layout PDF
Firefox
- Open the webpage and choose Print from the browser menu.
- In the print dialog, select Save to PDF.
- Adjust orientation, paper size, scale, and margins as needed; Firefox also documents an original or simplified format option.
- Save the PDF and review page breaks, headers, and images.

- Open the webpage and press Ctrl+P on Windows/Linux or Command+P on Mac.
- Choose Save as PDF as the destination.
- Check the preview, adjust available print settings, then save.

Choose between screenshot and print output
- Choose a screenshot PDF when you need the page’s visual appearance, including its on-screen arrangement.
- Choose print-to-PDF when you want a document governed by the site’s print layout, typically better suited to reading or printing.
- For either method, review the result: screenshot capture can encounter unusually long pages, while print output may reflow or omit elements according to the site’s print styling.
