If you want to save a recipe rather than just jump to its card, choose a recipe manager or clipping tool; if you mainly want to skip the scroll, choose a recipe-card display tool. No independent, comparable accuracy test establishes one best extractor, and automatic capture can miss fields or fail on a particular page.
Recipe-card display and recipe extraction solve different problems
A long food blog page can contain a recipe card, but surfacing that card is not the same as importing its ingredients and directions into a reusable cookbook.

- Display: RecipeFilter says its Chrome extension detects common recipe-card patterns and places a copy of a detected card at the top of the page. It preserves the original formatting and can be dismissed to return to the full page. The project also says it can work with bookmarklets for recipe managers such as Paprika. Recognition depends on the patterns it knows; it is not described as a universal importer. RecipeFilter on GitHub.
- Extract and save: Copy Me That and Recipe Clipper describe bringing recipe details into a saved collection or cookbook. This is the closer fit if you want to search, edit, organize, or reuse recipes later.

What happens when a recipe is not detected?
Do not assume an extension will work on every blog. Paprika explicitly documents that automatic clipping can fail or capture only part of a recipe. Its Windows guide explains a manual clipboard fallback for copying recipe fields into the app. Its getting-started guidance says the page must be loaded and visible, and that automatic downloading is intended for English recipes from most websites. Those are Paprika’s stated conditions, not a guarantee of success.

Saving a recipe can involve sending page content to a service, storing it on the device, or syncing it online; do not infer the storage model from the word “clipper.” Read each extension’s current privacy and permission disclosures. Recipe Clipper’s Firefox listing describes its own access and storage practices, while the Copy Me That and RecipeKeeper listings include store privacy disclosures.
