Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFor a visual full-page screenshot, GoFullPage is the most directly suited option in the available product descriptions: it scrolls through visible sections and assembles them, and it says it supports inner scrollable elements and embedded frames. For a single-file offline copy that includes page resources, choose SingleFile; it lists an option to load deferred images and iframes before saving. FireShot is another screenshot choice, with full-page, visible-page, and selection modes. None of these descriptions establishes that an extension will capture every lazy-loaded page correctly.
Choose based on what you need to save
| Need | Best fit | What it does | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| A visual image or PDF of the full page | GoFullPage | Scrolls through visible sections and assembles them; exports PNG, JPEG, or PDF. | Wait for the scroll-and-assemble process to finish. Very large captures may be split into images in separate tabs. |
| An offline page copy in one file | SingleFile | Saves page resources, including images, stylesheets, fonts, and frames, into one HTML file. Its feature list includes loading deferred images and iframes before saving. | This is an HTML archive, not a screenshot. Loading deferred resources is a documented option, not a guarantee that every site will finish loading. |
| A screenshot of all, part, or the visible page | FireShot | Its Chrome listing describes full-page, visible-page, and selection capture, with PDF, PNG, and JPEG output. | Capturing specific scrolling areas is listed among upgrade features; do not assume it is included in the free tier. |
These tools produce different deliverables, so there is no useful universal winner. A screenshot preserves appearance as an image or PDF; an offline HTML file is intended to retain page resources for viewing later.

How to capture a lazy-loaded page more reliably
- Decide whether you need an image or an offline copy. Use GoFullPage or FireShot for a visual capture, and SingleFile for a resource-inclusive HTML file.
- Open the page and let its initial content settle. Lazy-loaded material may not appear until a section is brought into view. Dynamic pages can also change while a capture is in progress.
- Run the extension’s full-page or deferred-resource workflow. GoFullPage says it scrolls through visible sections and assembles them. In SingleFile, use its option to load deferred images and iframes before saving.
- Wait for completion, then inspect the result. Check the beginning, middle, and end of a long page, plus any sections with images, embedded content, or nested scrolling. If important content is missing, try again after it has loaded.
- Keep the output in the format you need. GoFullPage and FireShot export visual captures; SingleFile creates an HTML file. Do not treat an image export as an offline, resource-preserving page.
Extension details and trade-offs
GoFullPage: full-page capture with scrolling and assembly
GoFullPage’s Chrome listing reported version 8.9, updated September 25, 2026, when checked October 3, 2026. It describes scrolling through visible sections and assembling them, support for inner scrollable elements and embedded iframes, and PNG, JPEG, or PDF output. It warns that exceptionally large captures may be split into multiple images in separate tabs. Its Firefox listing reported version 8.9, updated September 24, 2026, and describes the same main workflow.
Quick wins for a faster PC:

Downloads/history, tabs, and navigation activity are listed as optional permissions; the developer also lists technical and interaction data as optional data collection. Review the current listing and permission prompts for your browser before installing. The Chrome listing reported 11,000,000 users when checked October 3, 2026; that is a store-reported count, not an independent measure of capture quality.

FireShot: flexible screenshot modes
The Chrome listing reported FireShot version 2.1.4.18, updated May 24, 2026, when checked October 3, 2026. It describes full-page, visible-page, and selection capture, with PDF, PNG, and JPEG output. Capturing specific scrolling areas is among the listed upgrade features, so check the current tier details if that capability matters. The listing says the developer disclosed it will not collect or use user data. Its reported 3,000,000 users is a store count, not a quality benchmark.
SingleFile: a resource-inclusive HTML archive
SingleFile describes itself as a free, open-source extension for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. It saves page resources—including images, stylesheets, fonts, and frames—into one HTML file, and specifically lists loading deferred images and iframes before saving. It also describes cloud destinations such as GitHub, Amazon S3, Google Drive, and WebDAV; these are save-destination options, not evidence that cloud storage is required.

When extensions may not capture the page as expected
- Images or sections are missing: The site may load content only after scrolling, or the capture may have proceeded before that content was ready. Wait, inspect the output, and repeat the capture if needed.
- A nested panel remains incomplete: A page’s inner scroll area is different from the main document scroll. GoFullPage says it supports inner scrollable elements; FireShot lists specific scrolling-area capture among upgrade features.
- A page uses custom scrolling behavior: GoFullPage’s official FAQ search result says some sites manage scrolling with custom JavaScript. Its workflow may not behave as expected on every such page.
- The result is split into several images: GoFullPage says exceptionally large captures can exceed what it handles as one image and be split into separate tabs.
- The source is a PDF document: GoFullPage’s official FAQ search result says its capture workflow cannot access a PDF document. This is a limitation of that workflow, not a general statement about all browser PDF tools.
- An embedded frame or deferred image is absent: Support for frames or an option to load deferred resources does not guarantee that every embedded resource will be accessible or finish loading. Inspect the saved output and retry after the page has settled.
Or skip the browser setup
If you need a screenshot in code rather than an extension workflow, ScreenshotNeo offers a website screenshot API and MCP server. One GET request can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. Before capture, it accepts cookie/consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each step can be turned off. Bot checks/CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers report the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf for Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients.
Example using cURL (replace the example URL with the page you want to capture):
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. ScreenshotNeo has 1,000 screenshots per month free with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Learn about ScreenshotNeo, then sign up for the free plan.

How to choose
- Pick GoFullPage when you want a full-page visual capture and the page has nested scrolling or embedded frames to handle.
- Pick FireShot when its full-page, visible-page, or selection modes fit your screenshot task; verify whether scrolling-area capture requires an upgrade.
- Pick SingleFile when the deliverable should be one HTML file with page resources and you want its deferred-image and iframe loading option.
- For any dynamic page, inspect the output instead of assuming that a successful save means every lazy-loaded item appeared.
