Which Android Bluetooth tracker should you choose?
For Android phones that aren’t Samsung, the most useful starting point is Google Find Hub compatibility. Google’s Find Hub-compatible device directory lists supported products and brands, but cautions that compatibility and availability vary by region.

The Pebblebee Universal models are the documented cross-platform options in this shortlist. Chipolo’s Point editions are specifically for Find Hub. A tracker that works on a manufacturer’s separate network is not automatically compatible with Google’s.

How to check that a tracker will work with your phone
- Look up the exact product name and edition in Google’s Find Hub compatibility directory. Don’t rely on the brand name alone.
- Check the manufacturer’s setup requirements. For Chipolo ONE Point and CARD Point, the phone needs Android 9 or later and Google Play Services, as well as Bluetooth, location services, and an internet connection or cell service. Chipolo warns that phones without Google services—or with Google services installed manually—may have limited or no functionality.
- Confirm that the product is available and supported where you live. Google notes that regional availability and compatibility vary. Google Store’s Clip Universal listing specifies Android 9 or later in certain countries for age-eligible users.
- Check the physical fit and charging approach. Clip Universal is rechargeable and has a clip/keyring form; Tag Universal is a small rechargeable tag; Chipolo CARD Point is shaped for a wallet. The cited product information does not establish a controlled comparison of battery life or other performance measures.
What Find Hub tracking does—and does not—do
These are Bluetooth trackers, not standalone GPS devices. When a compatible Android device is nearby, it can detect the tracker’s Bluetooth signal and securely relay an approximate location to the owner’s Find Hub app. Google’s launch announcement describes aggregated location reporting and end-to-end encryption as network protections; Pebblebee’s Find Hub support guide explains the nearby-device relay.

That means a location update depends on compatible devices being nearby and the relevant services working. The sources cited here do not establish guaranteed continuous updates, a real-world range, accuracy, alarm loudness, or comparative reliability, so those are not grounds for naming a tested winner.
Pebblebee’s support guide also says its Find Hub-compatible trackers currently do not support Left Behind alerts or a Find Phone feature, and that item finders are managed in the mobile app rather than a web browser. App features can change, so check the current support information if either feature matters to you.

Unknown tracker alerts on Android
Google says unknown tracker alerts are available on Android 6 and later and currently cover Find Hub-compatible tags, headphones, and Apple AirTags. If your phone alerts you to an unfamiliar tracker, Google’s Android Help instructions explain how to open the alert, review a map of detections, play a sound, and follow the steps to identify or disable the device.

Turning off your phone’s Bluetooth or location services, or switching on airplane mode, does not by itself stop the tracker owner from locating the tracker. To disable the tracker, follow the manufacturer-specific instructions in Google’s guidance.
