There is no one best Battlefield 6 preset for every PC. Match the game’s fullscreen resolution and refresh rate to your display, then tune graphics for your frame-rate target. For more FPS, EA recommends lowering several graphics options to Low; for a clearer view, reduce blur and film effects. Use the Firing Range to check that each change helps on your system.
Start with your resolution, refresh rate, and target
Open Settings > Graphics. Set Fullscreen Resolution and Refresh Rate to match your PC and display. If the image appears stretched or the screen size looks wrong, check Aspect Ratio; EA notes that changing it also changes resolution. EA recommends Vertical Sync Off to avoid lag, though the best choice can depend on your setup and preferences.

Choose a target before changing quality settings. EA’s PC specifications article, published October 7, 2025, gives example targets rather than guaranteed results for every component combination:

| Minimum | 1080p at 30 FPS | Low |
| Recommended | 1440p at 60 FPS, or 1080p at 80+ FPS | High at 1440p; Low at 1080p/80+ FPS |

| Ultra++ | 4K at 144 FPS, or 4K at 240+ FPS | High at 144 FPS; Ultra at 240+ FPS |
The targets are EA’s example minimum viable configurations for those presets, not benchmark promises. EA specifically uses Medium—not High—for the 1440p/144 FPS Ultra Performance target to help maintain more consistent high-FPS performance on its stated hardware. Settings to lower first for more FPS
EA’s guidance is to reduce the following options to Low when you need more FPS. Find them in Settings > Graphics:
- Undergrowth Quality
- Effects Quality
- Volumetric Quality
- Lighting Quality
- Local Light & Shadow Quality
- Sun Shadow Quality
- Post Process Quality
Change these first rather than immediately lowering resolution, which can make targets harder to distinguish. If FPS still falls short, EA says to try everything at Low. Adjust one group at a time and check the result in the Firing Range so you can tell whether the trade-off is worthwhile.

Visibility settings for a clearer competitive view
For less distracting movement and a cleaner image, EA recommends reducing World Motion Blur, Weapon Motion Blur, and Camera Shake Amount as much as possible. Turn Chromatic Aberration, Vignette, and Film Grain off if you prefer a less processed picture. Treat these as clarity adjustments; EA does not claim they increase FPS.
EA notes that some players find enemies easier to spot in buildings or through water with Screen Space Reflections Off. Try it in the environments where you have trouble seeing targets rather than assuming it will improve visibility everywhere.
Rank #3
- Compatible with Windows and Android.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate (for 2.4G and wired connection)
- Hall Effect joysticks and Hall triggers. Wear-resistant metal joystick rings.
- Extra R4/L4 bumpers. Custom button mapping without using software. Turbo function.
- Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.
Choose a readable field of view
EA suggests Field of View 110 and Weapon Field of View Wide as starting points. A higher FOV shows more of your surroundings, but distant enemies and objects look smaller. Check target readability at your usual engagement distances in the Firing Range and adjust until the broader view does not make opponents too difficult to see.
Check that your PC meets the requirements
Settings can help balance performance and image quality, but they do not replace compatible hardware or the game’s additional security requirements. EA’s current Battlefield 6 system requirements page lists these minimum and recommended configurations:

Use upscaling and frame generation selectively
EA lists Intel XeSS and AMD FSR support for upscaling, frame generation, anti-aliasing, and latency reduction. It also lists DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, DLAA, and NVIDIA Reflex. These options depend on your hardware and priorities: upscaling or frame generation may suit a performance goal, while image quality and latency preferences can point to different choices. EA’s Ultra++ target specifically lists DLSS Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation. EA does not publish an apples-to-apples test establishing one mode as best for every GPU or use case. See EA’s PC features announcement for the named technologies.

A practical tuning sequence
- In Settings > Graphics, match Fullscreen Resolution and Refresh Rate to your display and confirm Aspect Ratio if the image looks wrong.
- Set the resolution and quality level closest to your FPS goal, using EA’s tier targets as a starting reference rather than a guarantee.
- If performance is short, set the seven listed quality options to Low before lowering resolution or other settings.
- For clearer visibility, lower the motion-blur and camera-shake options, turn off unwanted film effects, and test Screen Space Reflections Off where visibility is an issue.
- Test changes in the Firing Range, then adjust FOV and any supported upscaling or frame-generation features to suit your hardware and preferences.
EA advises keeping graphics drivers current and fine-tuning in game or with GPU-vendor optimization software. Because CPU/GPU combinations vary, judge settings by the performance and readability you see on your own PC.
