Start by checking compatibility for your exact TV, then confirm local availability and compare the current catalog and plan. No single service is established as the best choice for every TV or player.

Which smart-TV services can replace Xbox Cloud Gaming?

The companies’ platform listings establish that these services are relevant options, not that they have equal catalogs, pricing, performance, or compatibility.
How to choose the right alternative
- Identify your TV precisely. Find its full model number and check the operating-system version and firmware. A brand or screen size alone is not enough to establish app support.
- Check the provider’s current compatibility list. Confirm that the exact model and software meet the service’s requirements. For Luna, use Amazon’s Luna device compatibility page.
- Confirm availability in your country. Service access, account eligibility, plans, and game availability can vary by region.
- Compare the games and plan terms. Check whether the titles you want are included or otherwise playable under the current service terms, and what subscription or other access is required. The available compatibility listings do not establish a universal price or catalog winner.
- Check controller and network requirements. Make sure your TV and service support the controller you plan to use, and that your connection is suitable for streaming.

NVIDIA GeForce NOW
GeForce NOW appears in Samsung’s Gaming Hub listing and LG’s Gaming Portal announcement. These mentions do not establish support for every TV model, country, membership tier, or game. Before choosing it, check NVIDIA’s current GeForce NOW system requirements and membership information.

Amazon Luna
Amazon lists select Samsung TVs from 2020 onward and select LG TVs from 2021 onward, with model-year and software qualifications. Its page says only 2022-and-newer Samsung models expose the Luna app through Gaming Hub’s launcher bar; that distinction matters if an older TV otherwise appears on the compatibility list. Boosteroid
Samsung lists Boosteroid in Gaming Hub, and LG named it among its Gaming Portal partners. Those listings do not establish current support for a particular TV or country. Check Boosteroid’s current TV app support, subscription details, availability, and catalog before committing.

Controller and internet checklist
- Controller: Samsung recommends a compatible Bluetooth controller for cloud gaming. Xbox’s TV setup guidance gives compatible Xbox and PlayStation controllers as examples. - Connection: Xbox recommends wired internet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi and at least 20 Mbps for Xbox cloud gaming on TV. Samsung recommends a stable connection at 20 Mbps or faster for Gaming Hub cloud gaming. - Setup: If the TV does not support the service directly, check whether the provider supports a streaming device you already own before deciding you need additional hardware.
What these options do—and do not—tell you
Cloud gaming runs games on remote servers and streams the result to your TV; Samsung describes Gaming Hub services in those terms. Samsung Gaming Hub A provider’s presence in a TV hub is useful evidence of platform support, but it does not settle which service has the best image quality, latency, value, or game selection for your setup.
Catalogs and availability can change. Xbox itself notes that its cloud game catalog and availability vary over time, by region, plan, and platform.
