For straightforward Android meetings, compare Google Meet and Zoom—but neither should be treated as a proven replacement for Adobe Connect’s structured training and webinar workflows. Meet is a natural candidate for organizations already using Google tools; Zoom may suit an existing cross-platform meeting workflow. If persistent virtual rooms or training administration are essential, keep Adobe Connect on the shortlist and verify the specific Android features your sessions require.
Choose by meeting type, not just Android compatibility
Adobe positions Connect for virtual training and webinars as well as meetings, distinguishing it from general-purpose meeting tools. That matters if your sessions depend on structured rooms, multiple content areas, or training administration: the available documentation does not establish that Meet or Zoom reproduces those workflows on Android.

If your need is mainly to join and run conventional meetings from a phone, compare the mobile features, guest access, and account requirements of Meet and Zoom. If the phone is being used to participate in a Connect session rather than replace Connect, Adobe says its mobile app supports attending and managing meetings, webinars, and training sessions.

When Google Meet is the practical choice
Meet is worth considering when your organization already relies on Google Workspace or wants meetings to be reachable through Calendar, Gmail, a link, or a code. Guests’ ability to enter without a Google Account is conditional: organizer and account settings may require the host to admit them.

Google’s app overview lists chat, captions, backgrounds and effects, and hand raising, but availability can vary with the user’s account, administrator settings, and plan. Google’s current help documentation says Meet works on Android 5.0 and up, subject to device and app or browser requirements. Check Google’s Android requirements, and verify the features and participant limits included in your organization’s plan.
When Zoom is worth comparing
Zoom may be a good fit if it already matches how your organization schedules and runs meetings, or if you need a cross-platform meeting client. The key step for Android users is to inspect Zoom’s official feature comparison by platform. A feature listed for desktop should not be assumed to work the same way in the Android app; confirm each interaction your meetings depend on.

The available documentation does not establish a feature-by-feature set of Zoom Android capabilities or current plan limits for this comparison. Nor does it establish that Zoom replicates Connect’s persistent rooms or training administration on Android. Treat those as requirements to verify, not as assumed equivalents.

When to stay with Adobe Connect
Keep Connect under consideration when structured virtual training or webinars are more important than using a simple meeting link. Adobe’s Google Play listing describes mobile participation actions such as polls, notes, files, questions, and hand raising, while Adobe’s product information emphasizes training and webinar use. Those descriptions are not proof that another platform lacks the same functions—or that it offers an equivalent room workflow. Compare the exact tasks your trainers and attendees perform on Android.

Adobe’s mobile-app documentation says the app supports attending and managing meetings, webinars, and training sessions. For current app availability and compatibility, consult the Adobe Connect mobile-app information and Google Play listing. Adobe’s notice that its Classic mobile apps would be removed from app stores on May 31, 2024 describes a past transition, not a future deadline.

A quick selection checklist
- List the essential Android actions. Specify whether attendees need chat, polls, files, captions, hand raising, or other interactions, and verify each in the current mobile client.
- Test the guest path. Check whether external participants need an account, a link or code, and host admission, using the same settings your organization will use.
- Match the work environment. Favor a candidate that fits the organization’s Google, Zoom, or other existing meeting workflow, while confirming its actual Android behavior.
- Decide whether training structure is essential. If your sessions need persistent rooms, multiple content areas, webinar workflows, or training administration, test those tasks directly before replacing Connect.
- Check current plan terms. Confirm feature access, participant limits, and any administrator restrictions against the organization’s actual plan; an apples-to-apples current pricing comparison is not established here.
