The Beko BCT604IG is a 60 cm built-in induction cooktop with flexible cooking zones, touch controls and a published total power rating of 7.4 kW. It offers useful layout and control features on paper, but the public information available does not reveal independent test scores, so there is not enough evidence here to call its cooking performance a strength or a weakness. Before buying, check the cutout, electrical supply, local warranty terms and current availability.

What the Beko BCT604IG offers

Beko describes the BCT604IG as a built-in 60 cm induction cooktop. Its product information lists eight induction zones, two flexizones and one extended zone, alongside 15 cooking levels and direct-access touch controls. The manufacturer also lists Move Function, Stop & Go, a timer and booster. These features describe the available controls and zone flexibility; they do not establish how quickly or evenly the cooktop heats in independent testing. Beko BCT604IG product fiche

What independent testing says

CHOICE lists the BCT604IG as tested, with a test period shown as 2024 onwards. However, its expert rating and measures such as cooking performance, ease of use, low- and high-heat control, turn-down and boil time are not visible in the accessible member-only record. The listing confirms that testing exists, but it does not support a public performance verdict. CHOICE Beko BCT604IG listing

Cusinesync 30 Inch Induction Cooktop, 4 Burner, 7100W, 220–240V
  • 7100W Across 4 Induction Zones: This 30-inch built-in induction cooktop provides 7100W rated total power across four cooking zones measuring 160 mm, 180 mm, 280 mm, and 160 mm. Power sharing manages combined output between the left pair and the center/right pair.
  • Measure Before Installation: Overall cooktop size is 30" W × 20.5" D × 2.17" H, with a required countertop cutout of 29" W × 19.5" D. Compare the opening, ventilation space, and installation diagram before ordering, especially when replacing an existing cooktop.
  • 220–240V 40A Hardwired Connection: Designed for a 220–240V, 40A built-in connection using L1, L2, and ground. This cooktop does not use a standard household plug. Installation and grounding should be completed by a qualified technician following local electrical codes.
  • Induction-Compatible Cookware: Works with flat-bottom cast iron, magnetic stainless steel, and cookware with an induction-ready magnetic base. Use a magnet test to confirm compatibility; aluminum, copper, glass, ceramic, and non-magnetic stainless steel require a magnetic induction base.
  • 9 Power Levels and 5-Minute Boost: Use the touch slider to select one of 9 power levels. Power Boost temporarily increases the selected zone's output, displays P, and runs for up to 5 minutes before returning to level 9; it cannot be activated twice within 10 minutes.

Beko’s product fiche gives an energy-consumption figure of 185.77757187696 Wh/kg. The fiche does not establish a publication year for that figure. It is not an annual household electricity estimate, and without comparable test data it is not a basis for calling the cooktop more or less efficient than another model. Beko energy fiche

Will it fit your kitchen?

The product fiche lists external dimensions of 580 × 510 mm and a built-in cutout of 560 × 490 mm. Beko New Zealand lists 59 cm width, 52 cm depth and 5.2 cm height, with the same cutout dimensions. These published measurements differ by source and should not replace the installation diagram for the version sold in your market. Measure the existing opening and check clearances against the correct regional installation material before ordering. Beko product fiche · Beko New Zealand product information

Cookware and care

Choose compatible pans

Beko advises using induction-compatible cookware with a ferrous metal base and a flat bottom, centered on the cooking zone. The zone flexibility and Move Function are intended to accommodate different pan placements, but they are not a substitute for checking that each pan works with induction. Beko cookware guidance
