If Awesome Screenshot’s scrolling capture is missing content, first check whether the full-page option is disabled, the saved file is split or cut off, the cloud capture ends early, or the option works but the page is still incomplete. The fix depends on which of those you see—and on whether you’re using Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox.
Choose the full-page capture option for your browser
The menu label varies by browser. Open the Awesome Screenshot extension and choose the matching option:

- Chrome, Edge, and supported Chrome-extension browsers: Capture > Full Page.
- Safari: Capture Full Page.
- Firefox: Capture Entire Page.
The extension also supports keyboard shortcuts, but the menu labels above are the documented capture paths. Finding the right option is the normal workflow; it does not guarantee that every page will capture correctly. Awesome Screenshot’s full-page instructions were updated December 24, 2025.
If the full-page option is disabled
A disabled control can mean the browser will not let the extension run on that page. Chrome blocks extension access to URLs beginning with chrome://; Awesome Screenshot also identifies browser settings pages and extension stores as examples of pages where extensions may not be allowed to run.

- Check the page address. If it is a protected browser or extension page, the extension may not be able to capture it.
- Use Visible Part to capture what is currently on screen, or choose Entire Screen & App Window and crop the result.
- If you need a selected area on desktop, Awesome Screenshot points to its Windows or Mac desktop app as another option.
This restriction guidance applies when the capture option is unavailable. If the option is enabled but the result is wrong, use the page-specific support route below instead of assuming the same restriction is responsible. If the saved screenshot is cut off or split into pieces
Check whether you saved the capture locally. Awesome Screenshot says very long screenshots saved locally may be cut off. It documents two alternatives:

- Choose Download all x images to keep all the separate image parts.
- Choose Download as PDF when you need one complete file.

Awesome Screenshot says its cloud can save one complete file for most webpages, but extremely long pages may still be incomplete. For those pages, its stated workaround is to save locally. If the local result is divided or cut off, download all image parts or use the PDF option.

If full-page capture is available but the page is still incomplete
Send the affected page URL through the extension’s Feedback option or through the Awesome Screenshot website so the vendor can investigate. Its documentation does not establish a universal fix for every page-specific failure. Reloading, changing browser flags, or disabling other extensions should not be treated as guaranteed fixes without evidence that they address your particular page.
The help center’s screenshot-issues index lists additional browser- and page-specific topics, including Safari blank space and Firefox capture failures. The index itself does not identify the cause of a particular missing-content problem.
