How do you take a full-page screenshot?
Awesome Screenshot’s help center provides full-page capture instructions for its browser extensions. The exact interface can vary by browser and extension version, so use the extension’s current on-screen labels rather than assuming every installation looks identical.
- Open the webpage you want to capture in a supported browser with the Awesome Screenshot extension installed.
- Open the extension and choose its full-page capture option.
- Review the resulting capture for missing, duplicated, or incorrectly positioned content, especially on long or interactive pages.
- Use the editor to crop or annotate if needed, then save or share the result using an available output option.
If the full-page or selected-area control is dimmed, the vendor says the page may not permit the extension to run the scripts those modes need. Try visible-part capture, or capture the entire screen or application window and crop the result afterward. What can you do with the annotation tools?

- Point out a location: add rectangles, circles or ellipses, arrows, and lines to direct attention to a page element or bug.
- Add an explanation: place text on the capture, or use a pen mark to sketch a detail.
- Emphasize or conceal content: highlight an area or apply blur to information visible in the image.
- Prepare the framing: crop or resize the capture. The help guide describes adjusting shapes and changing their color and thickness.
These tools fit quick visual feedback, such as showing a teammate which button is misplaced or preparing an annotated instruction. The available documentation does not establish how precise or convenient the editing feels in practice. Also, blur is a listed feature, not proof that confidential information is irreversibly removed in every export or sharing path. For sensitive material, test the exact output and sharing workflow before relying on blur as redaction.
What formats and sharing options are documented?
The Chrome Web Store listing describes saving images as PNG or JPG and downloading a PDF. It also lists clipboard copying for selected-area captures, cloud share links, and integrations including Jira, Slack, Trello, Asana, and GitHub. Availability can depend on the selected capture mode and the service or account configuration; confirm the current extension interface for the route you intend to use.

Where can capture fail or be restricted?
Browser extensions do not have unrestricted access to every page. Awesome Screenshot’s support documentation says full-page and selected-area controls may appear dimmed where extensions cannot run scripts, including browser settings, extension-store pages, and other extensions. That limitation follows browser access rules and page behavior; it is not, by itself, evidence of a product-specific defect.

Pages with long, dynamic, embedded, or otherwise unusual content are sensible cases to verify yourself. The available sources do not establish a reliable universal fix for those cases.
- Mode is dimmed: switch to visible-part capture or capture the screen/app window and crop afterward.
- Page is incomplete or misaligned: repeat the capture and inspect the output before sharing; if the problem persists, report the page to the vendor as its support article requests.
- You need a region but selection is unavailable: use a screen or visible-part capture and crop the saved image in the editor.
Plans, privacy, and what to verify
Awesome Screenshot’s pricing page lists a free plan and paid tiers with differences in annotation access, screenshot and recording allowances, resolution, and some editing or recovery limits. Plan terms and prices can change, so check the live pricing page before choosing a tier; the current limits are not reproduced here as fixed figures.

The Chrome Web Store privacy disclosure says the extension handles website content. The vendor privacy policy, last updated July 16, 2024, describes account information such as name and email, usage data, optional third-party integrations, and data retention. It says users can save screenshots and recordings locally rather than using vendor or third-party cloud storage, and that the company cannot guarantee absolute security. These are the vendor’s policy statements, not an independent security audit; check the current policy and your organization’s requirements before capturing sensitive pages.

Feature lists alone cannot establish fidelity, speed, or reliability. Before standardizing on the extension, try it on representative pages in the browser versions your team uses. Include a simple static page, a long page, a page that loads content dynamically, embedded content, and a browser-restricted page. Compare the saved output with what you expected to capture, and check dimensions, missing sections, duplicated sections, and annotation/export behavior.
