For Indian users, Awesome Screenshot’s Free plan allows up to 100 screenshots in cloud storage—not just 100 captures—and local screenshots have no count limit. Recording limits work differently: Free and Basic accounts can store 20 cloud recordings total, while local recording, cloud recording length, and downloading or editing recordings each have separate limits. The only India-specific restriction identified in Awesome Screenshot’s official help material concerns one route from Basic to Professional.
How the 100-screenshot limit works
The Free plan’s limit is 100 screenshots in cloud storage. It is a storage cap, not a limit of 100 screenshots captured overall. According to Awesome Screenshot’s explanation of its screenshot and recording limits, screenshots saved locally have no screenshot-count limit.

If you reach the cloud limit, the service says you can delete cloud screenshots to make room and continue capturing. Its Free-plan help page describes this as a cloud-storage limit; it does not state that the 100-item allowance resets monthly.
Recording limits: cloud, local, and editing
Awesome Screenshot’s recording limits differ by where the recording is stored and what you want to do with it. The official limits page applies several of these rules to both Free and Basic accounts.

| Recording use | Free or Basic limit |
|---|---|
| Cloud recordings stored | 20 recordings total—not 20 per month |
| Length of a cloud recording | Up to six hours per recording |
| Local recording | Up to five minutes per recording |
| Download and edit | Recordings up to one hour |
These are distinct limits, not competing descriptions of one maximum. The six-hour figure concerns the length of a cloud recording; the one-hour figure concerns the maximum recording length Free and Basic users can download and edit. The five-minute limit applies to local recordings. The help pages describe the 20-recording allowance as a total and do not say it renews monthly.
Sharing a screenshot with a link
A screenshot must be in Awesome Screenshot’s cloud to be shared through a shareable link. If you saved the screenshot only on your device, upload it first. When you generate a link, share the complete shareable link, including its key parameter; the ordinary URL shown in the browser address bar is not sufficient for other people to access it. See the official instructions for sharing a screenshot by link.

What the India-specific upgrade restriction means
Awesome Screenshot’s Account & Billing help index states: “Due to Indian regulatory requirements, users from India cannot upgrade from Basic to Professional by paying the price difference.” This is a restriction on that specific upgrade route. It does not establish that Free is unavailable in India or that every other way of upgrading is unavailable.
The help pages describe the plan limits as general service rules and do not explicitly confirm that every Free-plan term is identical in every country. The India-specific statement above is the restriction they identify for Indian users.

Use an API instead: ScreenshotNeo
If you need screenshots from code rather than a browser extension, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server for developers. Its one-call API returns a screenshot or PDF. For Indian users who need to stay within a specific extension plan, it is a separate workflow rather than an Awesome Screenshot plan upgrade.
