If your AULA keyboard’s RGB lighting is not working on Mac or Linux, start by checking the exact model printed on the keyboard, box, or purchase record. AULA’s software catalog is organized by model, and the available Linux instructions apply to specific keyboards—not every AULA RGB model. OpenRGB has macOS downloads, but that alone does not confirm that it supports your keyboard.
Identify the AULA model before changing anything
Find the complete model name on the keyboard, its packaging, or your purchase record. Then search for that model in AULA’s Software & Drivers catalog. AULA describes the catalog as a place to find Windows drivers, firmware packages, and configuration tools by model. Do not install firmware intended for a different keyboard.

Check whether the problem is the keyboard or the operating system
Before installing a lighting utility, check whether the keyboard lights up before the operating system finishes loading, or when connected to another computer. This is a diagnostic check, not a confirmed behavior for every AULA model: if lighting works elsewhere, the issue may be settings or software on the original system; if it does not, the keyboard’s onboard settings or hardware may need attention.

Look for instructions for your exact model in AULA’s catalog or documentation. The available evidence does not establish a universal AULA lighting shortcut, so avoid trying key combinations taken from a different model.
Linux: choose the documented path for your model
The available Linux options differ by model. The F75 has a documented OpenRGB setup; the F3261 has a separate community command-line utility. Neither route should be treated as a general AULA driver.

AULA F75 with OpenRGB
Use the F75 guide only if your keyboard is the F75 and its device ID is 258a:010c. The guide describes selecting Devices → AULA F75 in OpenRGB and switching to Direct mode. Its key caveat is persistence: the keyboard returns to its onboard cycling effect when lighting updates stop, so the guide keeps OpenRGB running with its keepalive behavior.

If OpenRGB does not show the F75, check that you followed the guide for the correct model and compatible build before changing firmware or applying instructions for another AULA device.

AULA F3261 with its community CLI
For the F3261 on Linux, use the project’s aula instructions, not the F75 OpenRGB steps. The project identifies the device as 258a:0049 and says OpenRGB does not support that product ID. Its setup includes command-line and udev configuration steps; consult the project for current instructions rather than copying commands that may have changed.
macOS: OpenRGB availability is not proof of AULA support
OpenRGB describes itself as available for Windows, Linux, and macOS, and its releases page lists macOS downloads for Intel and Apple Silicon. The releases page also lists a Release 1.0 entry and Release Candidate 1.0rc3 dated June 28, 2026; check the page for current downloads rather than relying on a version number in an older guide.

Those downloads establish that OpenRGB is available for macOS, not that it will detect or control a particular AULA keyboard. Confirm support for your exact model before installing it for this purpose. The available model-specific instructions establish a Linux path for the F75 and F3261, but do not establish that either path works on macOS or that other AULA keyboards are supported.

If the lighting still does not work
- Verify the model: check the label or purchase record, then search AULA’s model-based download catalog.
- Confirm the operating system and connection: do not transfer Linux USB-device instructions to macOS or assume they cover wireless connections.
- Use only the matching documented route: the F75 guide is for the F75; the F3261 project is a different utility and explicitly says its product ID is unsupported by OpenRGB.
- Check whether a background process is required: for the F75’s documented Direct mode, keep OpenRGB running as described by the guide.
- Avoid cross-model firmware: use vendor downloads only when they match your exact keyboard model.
