Which edits and effects are available?
Waveform editing
Documented editing tools include cut, copy, paste, trim, reverse, and invert. AudioMass also lists zero-crossing selection, cue markers, beat detection, snap-to-beat, and undo. Can AudioMass record and edit multiple tracks?
Yes. AudioMass documents recording as well as multitrack editing. The repository README describes layering tracks, moving clips, crossfading overlaps, recording onto armed channels, and bouncing a mix to one file. These capabilities can support arranging takes or combining voice and other audio, though the documentation does not provide a full device compatibility guide for recording inputs. How do you export or resume a multitrack project?
The About page describes multitrack mixdown as an offline render to one WAV or MP3 file. It also says multitrack sessions can be saved as .amss files and reopened later. A rendered audio file is the finished mix; the session file is for returning to the multitrack work. License and redistribution
AudioMass identifies its own license as MIT. The project also notes that bundled libraries have separate licenses, mostly BSD-style, and that the MP3 encoder is under LGPL.
