That is a dated deal report, not confirmation of Amazon’s current price or stock. The claim that it is the card’s lowest price this year is also unverified for this exact ASUS variant.
What the reported deal covers
The card in the report is the ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 EVO OC Edition 16GB GDDR6. ASUS lists this EVO OC model separately from its standard Prime RX 9070 OC, so a price or history for another Prime card should not automatically be attributed to this one.

Wccftech’s October 6 report gives the Amazon price as $629 and says the card had reached nearly $832 in recent weeks. A separate October 1 roundup listed an Amazon RX 9070 price of $770.70, illustrating how quickly reported prices can change. Neither report establishes the price available to a buyer now; the seller, stock, checkout total, shipping, and return terms were not verified.

Is $629 the lowest price this year?
That wording is not established for the exact ASUS EVO OC board. BestValueGPU reported a $579 all-time low for the broader RX 9070 category on July 15, 2026, but its record does not identify whether that observation was for this ASUS variant. It is therefore relevant context, not proof that this specific card was previously cheaper.
#1 Best Overall
- Axial-tech fans now feature a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- Phase-change GPU thermal pad helps ensure optimal heat transfer, lowering GPU temperatures for enhanced performance and reliability
- 2.5-slot design allows for greater build compatibility while maintaining cooling performance
- Dual-ball fan bearings last up to twice as long as standard conventional sleeve bearings designs
- 0dB technology lets you enjoy light gaming in relative silence
Before treating any comparison as decisive, check the exact model and listing, the seller, the final checkout price, availability, and what product variants the price-history record covers. RX 9070, RX 9070 XT, and RX 9070 GRE are distinct AMD products; prices for those models or for other RX 9070 board-partner cards are not interchangeable.
What this ASUS card is
ASUS identifies the EVO OC as a 16GB GDDR6 graphics card with three Axial-tech fans and a phase-change GPU thermal pad. AMD lists up to 16GB of memory for the RX 9070. Those specifications identify the product, but do not establish how it performs against other cards.

AMD’s product specifications distinguish the RX 9070 from the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 GRE. Compare like with like when checking a deal: confirm that the listing is for the ASUS Prime RX 9070 EVO OC, rather than another RX 9070 variant or a different GPU model.
