Those are the claims in his September 19, 2026 announcement—not independently verified product behavior or a technical audit.
What is AstraviX?
AstraviX is presented as an infinite-canvas notebook: a visual space for arranging and mapping thoughts rather than writing only in a conventional linear document. Shikalgar says he built it after finding other apps laggy or weighed down by signup forms. That describes his motivation; it is not evidence of a broader user survey or a measured comparison with other apps.

According to Shikalgar, no signup, login, or email address is required. The announcement does not provide a separate account setup process or independently confirm how the current product behaves.

Where does AstraviX save notes?
Shikalgar says AstraviX saves data locally in the browser. The announcement does not explain the storage mechanism, how long notes persist, or whether users can export, back up, or restore them on another device. “Local-first” should therefore be understood as the creator’s description, not as a complete account of the app’s data handling or a guarantee of privacy or permanence.
What is known about performance and features?
The announcement asks readers for feedback on the interface and performance. It does not publish benchmark results or an independent review, so there is no substantiated speed comparison. It also does not establish which canvas operations are available, which browsers or devices are supported, or whether the app works offline.
