How to read a bar chart of the two results
With each figure shown in its reported currency, a single shared numeric axis would be misleading: the heights would compare euros with US dollars as though they were the same unit. Use grouped bars with clearly marked currency units only if the chart makes the separate units unmistakable, or use separate panels with independently labelled scales. Separate panels make each reported value readable but do not establish a direct size comparison.

A chart converted to one currency can support a common-unit visual comparison, but it no longer displays the companies’ issuer-reported figures unchanged. Any such chart should identify the exchange rate, the date it applies to, and the conversion method. The exchange-rate convention is a charting choice, not an accounting equivalence.

Which quarters are covered?
The latest common reporting period as of October 3, 2026, is Q2 2026. ASML’s results archive scheduled its Q3 2026 results for October 14, 2026, after that cutoff; Q3 guidance must not be presented as actual revenue. See ASML’s quarterly-results archive.
The filename’s “limit8” suggests a maximum of eight plotted observations, but it does not establish which eight quarters were intended. The figures established here cover Q2 2026 only. An eight-quarter chart needs an explicit start and end quarter and verification of every quarterly value against the relevant issuer’s primary reporting pages; missing observations should not be inferred.

ASML’s Q2 commentary
ASML President and CEO Christophe Fouquet said: “Our second-quarter total net sales were €9.3 billion and gross margin came in at 54.0%, both above guidance, driven primarily by higher than expected Installed Base Management sales.” The quote is ASML’s rounded description; the reported total net sales figure in its release is €9.326 billion.

What revenue bars do—and do not—show
These figures show reported revenue measures for one quarter. By themselves, they do not establish relative profitability, company valuation, market share, or a causal relationship between the companies. The difference in currency, measure label, and quarter-end date should remain visible wherever the chart is reproduced.
