On Oct. 2, 2026, Android Authority reported that Amazon had the Arlo Ultra Wireless Security Camera 4K HDR (3rd Gen) two-camera bundle with SmartHub for $220.99, against a stated $349.99 recommended retail price. That is a reported $129 saving, or about 37% off. The outlet called it a record-low price, but did not provide price-history methodology; the current price and availability have not been independently confirmed.
What the $220.99 deal includes—and what is unconfirmed
The reported offer is for two Arlo Ultra 4K HDR (3rd Gen) cameras and a SmartHub. Android Authority described $220.99 as the Amazon offer and $349.99 as the recommended retail price on Oct. 2, 2026. Its “record-low” description is the publisher’s characterization, not independently verified price history. Check the live listing before buying because the offer may have changed or ended.

The deal report does not identify the SmartHub model or confirm whether storage media is included. Arlo documents the VMB5000 as a microSD hub and the VMB4540 as a USB-storage hub, but do not assume either is in this bundle. Confirm the model and package contents in the current listing if local recording is part of your plan.

What the Ultra 4K cameras offer
Arlo’s specification sheet lists these features for the Ultra 4K (3rd Gen). These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results:

Arlo says each camera requires a high-speed internet connection with at least 2 Mbps upload and 2 Mbps download bandwidth. The two-camera kit therefore calls for adequate connectivity at each camera’s location, not merely a fast connection near the router.
How 4K recording works, and when you may need a plan
The cameras’ 4K capability does not mean every recording route provides 4K automatically. Arlo’s support guidance, last updated April 15, 2026, says cloud recording in 4K requires an Arlo Secure Plus or Premium plan. Without those plans, the cited guidance limits Ultra camera recordings to 1080p.

Arlo also supports 4K local recording with a compatible SmartHub or base station and compatible microSD or USB storage. This gives buyers an alternative to 4K cloud recording, but the hub model and whether storage is included with this specific bundle are unconfirmed. Arlo’s guidance states: “For cloud recording in 4K, you need an Arlo Secure Plus or Premium plan.” The bundle report does not say that a subscription is included.

At the reported $220.99 for two cameras and a hub, the offer may suit someone who specifically wants wide-angle 4K cameras, rechargeable placement and the option of local 4K recording. Its value depends on the recording path you intend to use: factor in a paid plan if you want 4K cloud recording, or confirm the included hub model and budget for compatible storage if you prefer local recording.

Before choosing it over another security-camera kit, compare the details that affect actual use rather than headline resolution alone:
- Coverage: Check whether the 180-degree diagonal view fits the area you need to monitor.
- Placement and power: These cameras use rechargeable removable batteries, unlike wired options that need a suitable power source.
- Recording: Establish whether you want cloud recording, local storage or both, and confirm the required plan, hub and storage media.
- Total cost: The reported bundle price does not establish the cost of any subscription or additional storage.
- Current offer: Verify the Amazon listing’s price, exact contents and availability; the reported deal is dated Oct. 2, 2026.
No current competing bundle price is established here, so the reported discount alone cannot show that this is the cheapest two-camera option available.
