Arlec identifies the PA1123BKHA as a black, single-unit portable air conditioner. It provides cooling and heating through reverse-cycle operation, with a window kit listed as included. As with other portable units, installation requires arranging the exhaust through a suitable window opening; check the full manual, window and duct arrangement, clearances and room conditions before buying. The available specifications do not establish which window types the kit fits or a recommended room size.

How good is its cooling and heating?
The published figures confirm that the unit is designed to cool and heat, but they are not a verdict on real-world performance. CHOICE has an exact-model review page, yet its public view hides the Expert Rating and test results, including cooling, energy-efficiency and high-fan noise scores. It would be misleading to infer a strong or poor result from the existence of that review.

Arlec’s page shows one customer rating: four stars from one review. The reviewer, shown as Anthony, wrote, “Mine works excellent very cold i have to turn it off worth 600”. That is one customer’s account, not an independent test or evidence of typical results.
Before choosing this model, compare independently measured cooling effectiveness and noise where available, alongside capacity, energy use, room suitability, window-hose compatibility, weight, heating function, controls, price and stock. Do not treat the published capacity or one review as a substitute for those comparisons.

What controls and smart features are included?
The PA1123BKHA has a Grid Connect-compatible Wi-Fi/mobile app, remote control, timer, LED touch panel and three fan speeds. Arlec says it can integrate with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa; those voice assistants are sold separately. The remote and window kit are listed as supplied, so neither is an extra feature to assume you must buy separately.

What do the energy figures mean?
ApplianceRatings reports registration data attributed to DCCEEW/EECA trans-Tasman E3 records for this model. Its 2026 dataset gives annual energy figures by residential climate zone. These are scheme figures under stated usage assumptions, not a prediction of an individual household’s electricity use or bill.

Is the Arlec PA1123BKHA still available?
The published availability signals conflict. CHOICE labels the model discontinued and shows a $599 price, which should not be read as a current quote. Arlec’s product page still lists the PA1123BKHA and links shoppers to Bunnings, and its portable-air-conditioner collection also includes the model. Those listings do not prove that a retailer has stock or that the product will remain available.
