Current official rates at a glance
A live tracker maintained by DinoIndex, refreshed on October 12, 2026, lists the standard Official ASA profile at 1× across the main progression and breeding fields. In practical terms, XP gain, resource collection, taming speed, baby growth, egg hatching, imprint effectiveness and the mating timer all use the baseline setting on a standard Official server.

The table separates a standing profile from a temporary bonus. Seeing 2×, 4.5× or 5× in an announcement does not mean every Official server permanently runs at that multiplier.
How ASA multipliers actually work
Gain and speed settings
For XP, harvesting and taming, a multiplier is applied to the normal result or progress rate. At 1×, you receive the baseline amount. At 2×, the resulting gain or speed is doubled; higher values accelerate the activity by the stated factor. Thus, a resource node that would normally yield a baseline amount produces roughly twice that amount at 2×, subject to the game’s rounding, tool and creature bonuses.

Enjoy an endless stream of new ARK content as the creativity and talent of the community is fully unleashed for the first time ever across gaming platforms!
Time intervals run in the opposite direction
Mating interval is a cooldown, so its multiplier is read as a timer adjustment rather than a gain. A 1× interval is the baseline cooldown. A 0.5× interval makes the wait approximately half as long, allowing another breeding attempt sooner. A larger interval value would lengthen the wait. This is why “lower” can mean faster for mating while “higher” means faster for XP, harvesting or taming.
Breeding is not one single timer
ASA exposes several breeding-related settings: maturation, egg hatch or gestation, imprinting and mating interval. A profile can accelerate one, several or all of them. When Wildcard announces “4× breeding” or “5× breeding,” use the announcement’s wording rather than assuming every individual timer has the same multiplier unless the current listing gives the breakdown.
Standard Official PvP and PvE
The standard Official PvP/PvE profile is the persistent baseline most players mean when they ask whether ASA Official is “1× or 2×.” The October 2026 snapshot is 1× for XP, harvesting, taming, baby maturation, egg hatch, imprinting and mating interval. It is therefore the slowest of the named profiles in the table during their cited bonus windows, but it is also the profile that does not inherently depend on a monthly wipe.

Standard PvP and PvE differ in player-versus-player rules, not in the baseline multipliers listed above. Always verify the server’s mode, map, transfer rules and current population separately from its rate settings. A server browser label can identify PvP or PvE while an active event temporarily changes rates across the network.
Small Tribes rates
Small Tribes is an Official ruleset aimed at smaller groups, with restrictions and transfer or tribe rules that are distinct from the standard network. In a 2026 Wildcard bonus notice, Small Tribes was listed at 4.5× harvesting, taming and experience, with 4× breeding during the cited window.
Those figures should be read as event values with a date and end point, not as a guarantee that every Small Tribes server always runs at 4.5× or 4×. If you join between events, the in-game listing is the authority for the current season or week. The ruleset can change the social and competitive experience even when two servers display similar rates, so check its tribe-size limits, PvP status, transfer policy and map rotation before committing.

ARKpocalypse rates and the monthly-wipe trade-off
Wildcard describes ARKpocalypse as “monthly-wipe servers with higher than usual rates and monthly curated mods.” In the cited 2026 notice, the profile used 5× harvesting, taming, experience and breeding. That combination makes early progression and replacement of lost animals much faster than the standard 1× baseline.
The cost is persistence. A monthly wipe resets the server’s world and progression on its published schedule, so bases, inventories and breeding lines are not intended to remain indefinitely. Curated mods also mean that the rules and available content can differ from standard Official. Choose ARKpocalypse when a short, intense season is acceptable; choose a persistent profile when preserving a long-term build matters more than rapid acceleration.
What is known about Conquest
Wildcard describes Conquest, introduced to ASA by Snail Games, as a large-scale PvP profile with increased rates and cross-platform availability. The exact live multiplier is season-specific, and the available announcement does not establish one permanent number for XP, harvesting, taming or breeding.
Rank #4
For Conquest, check the current season announcement and the in-game server listing immediately before starting. Confirm the wipe or season timetable, transfer and cross-platform rules, map lineup, tribe restrictions and every displayed multiplier. Do not substitute the 4.5× Small Tribes or 5× ARKpocalypse figures for Conquest; those are different profiles.
Why guides and videos disagree
Temporary EVO and weekend bonuses
Wildcard periodically activates EVO or weekend bonuses on the Official network. A guide published during a 2× PvP/PvE event may accurately report 2× harvesting, taming and experience for that window while being wrong for the normal week. The same issue explains reports of 4.5× Small Tribes or 5× ARKpocalypse: those numbers came from a named bonus notice, not a universal permanent setting.
Base-rate policy has changed over time
Wildcard’s historical Official-network policy shows that the definition of a “base” rate can change. Older ARK: Survival Evolved explanations therefore cannot be copied to ASA without checking a current announcement or live listing. A post can be internally consistent and still describe a previous policy, a different game edition or a past event.
Different profiles are often grouped together
“Official” is an umbrella term covering standard PvP/PvE, Small Tribes, ARKpocalypse and Conquest. Their lifecycle, rules and seasonal treatment differ. Before comparing numbers, identify the profile name, the game edition, the date of the claim and whether an event was active.
How to verify the live rate before you play
- Identify the profile. In the server browser, record whether the entry is Standard Official PvP, Standard Official PvE, Small Tribes, ARKpocalypse or Conquest.
- Read the current server details. Look for displayed XP, harvesting, taming and breeding values rather than relying on a video title or an old community spreadsheet.
- Check the event notice. Note the start and end dates of any EVO, weekend or seasonal modifier. A temporary notice can override the normal baseline.
- Inspect each breeding field. Confirm maturation, hatch or gestation, imprint and mating interval separately when the interface exposes them; “breeding” may be an aggregate label.
- Confirm the rules and lifecycle. Check PvP/PvE, tribe-size limits, transfers, cross-platform availability, map and wipe schedule. Rates alone do not describe the server.
- Recheck after maintenance or an event change. Wildcard can alter profiles, and a rate shown on October 12 may not be the rate after a later announcement.
Planning progression with the numbers
Early-game gathering and taming
At the 1× baseline, every resource run, level and tame uses the normal time and quantity. During a 2× event, the same activity produces about twice the gain or completes in about half the time where the setting controls speed. At 4.5× or 5×, the acceleration is substantial, but it does not remove inventory limits, tool durability, knockout requirements, food consumption or the need to protect a tame.
Breeding schedules
Plan breeding from the individual fields, not from a single headline number. A faster maturation value can shorten the time to adulthood while an unchanged mating interval still limits how soon the parents can breed again. Imprinting has its own timing and interaction requirements. A lower mating-interval multiplier reduces the cooldown; it does not automatically increase maturation or hatch speed.
Season and wipe planning
On persistent Standard Official, a long breeding project can be worthwhile because the world is not defined by a monthly reset. On ARKpocalypse, the monthly wipe changes the calculation: high rates help you reach endgame sooner, but the practical life of a base or breeding line is bounded by the season. Conquest requires the same calculation against its published season schedule.
A reliable comparison framework
- Progress speed: Compare XP, harvesting and taming first; these determine how quickly a new character can build an industrial or combat foundation.
- Breeding workload: Compare maturation, hatch or gestation, imprint and mating interval independently. Remember that interval multipliers are inverse timers.
- Server lifecycle: Distinguish persistent Standard Official from monthly-wipe ARKpocalypse and seasonal Conquest.
- Rules and population: Check PvP/PvE, Small Tribes restrictions, transfers, cross-platform access, maps and expected population at the times you play.
- Volatility: Account for EVO weekends, temporary announcements and season changes. Treat any rate without a date as incomplete information.
Bottom line
The best current answer to “Are ASA Official servers 1× or 2×?” is: standard Official is reported at 1× across the main fields as of the October 12, 2026 tracker refresh, while 2× is an event value that Wildcard has used for Official PvP/PvE. Small Tribes has been listed at 4.5× gathering, taming and XP with 4× breeding during its cited bonus window; ARKpocalypse has been listed at 5× for those categories and is a monthly-wipe format. Conquest has increased, season-specific rates. Verify the live in-game listing and the latest Wildcard announcement before you invest in a new server.
