Those are meaningful concerns, though one reviewer’s experience does not establish how often other units are affected.
What are the Soundpeats POP Clip2 earbuds?
The POP Clip2 is an open-ear clip-on earbud: it rests outside the ear canal rather than sealing it. SOUNDPEATS describes it as UU2 (POP Clip2) and states that both names refer to the same product. The package and Bluetooth device name use POP Clip2. It is not described by the manufacturer as a bone-conduction product. See the SOUNDPEATS product page for the manufacturer’s product information.

The open-ear design leaves the ear canal uncovered, which can suit listeners who prefer not to wear an in-ear tip. The trade-off is that this is a different listening experience from a sealed earbud; the available sources do not establish how it compares with specific rival models.
What does the POP Clip2 offer?
SOUNDPEATS lists a 12 mm dual-magnet dynamic driver, Bluetooth 6.0, SBC, AAC and LDAC codec support, physical buttons, multipoint connectivity and IPX5 water resistance. The product page also lists 50 mAh batteries in each earbud and a 500 mAh charging case.

What is the recurring issue reported in the review?
The DeviceKick review reports that the earbuds sometimes did not reconnect after being removed from the case and that audio could drop or stutter. It also describes charging-case pins that could remain depressed, preventing reliable charging; the reviewer says manually manipulating the pins sometimes served as a temporary workaround. Those observations belong to that review’s experience, not a verified product-wide failure rate.

SOUNDPEATS’ FAQ addresses Bluetooth instability and suggests possible causes such as wireless interference or the body obstructing the signal. It also recommends checking that the earbuds are seated correctly and that their contacts are clean and dry if they do not charge as expected. That guidance is troubleshooting advice; it does not confirm the review’s specific stuck-pin report.

How should you weigh the sound and comfort against reliability?
The review’s positive case is the earbuds’ audio and comfort, while its central reservation is whether they connect and charge consistently. That makes reliability the deciding factor: open-ear fit and appealing sound matter little if an earbud will not reconnect or charge when needed.
