No. Games in Google Messages are not confirmed as available to everyone, and Google’s current public documentation does not list built-in games. A report from Android Authority describes game-related references in a beta build, but that does not confirm a public launch or support on any particular phone.
What is known about games in Google Messages?
Google’s Google Messages product page describes messaging and chat features, while its support guide covers installing and using the app. Neither currently documents built-in games as a generally released feature. Google also notes that feature availability can vary by market and device, but that does not establish that games are available in any market or on any device.

Android Authority reported game-related references in a Google Messages beta build. That is evidence of a possible feature in development, not confirmation that it has launched. The report does not identify eligible phone models or establish that beta users—or all beta users—can play games.

No. Google says Android users can download Google Messages through Google Play, but being able to install the app does not mean every feature is available. Updating the app is a reasonable way to keep it current, but it cannot guarantee access to an undocumented or unannounced feature.

RCS is a separate issue. Google’s RCS FAQ says availability depends on region and carrier. That limitation concerns RCS; Google has not confirmed that RCS determines access to the possible games feature or that RCS must be enabled to use it.
What is still unconfirmed?
Google’s public materials and the beta report do not establish a release date, supported Messages versions, minimum Android version, eligible devices or regions, or whether games would work in one-to-one chats, group chats, or require both participants to use Google Messages. Until Google publishes details or the feature is verified in a public release, treat these points as unknown.

Why older answers may say there are no games
A Google Messages Community thread from January 2019 asked whether the app had games like iMessage. A Product Expert answered, “No there are no games inside Android Messages.” That answer is historical, not evidence of the feature’s present-day status; the newer beta report describes possible development, not confirmed availability.
