CMF Buds Neo may be worth considering at its Indian launch price of ₹1,999, but that is a historical, limited-time offer—not a confirmed current price. The headline features are promising for an entry-level pair, while the available reviews offer impressions rather than controlled comparisons. Your decision should turn on fit, sound preference, how much noise cancellation you need, and the price you can actually buy them for.
What CMF Buds Neo offers
CMF, associated with Nothing, announced Buds Neo for India with a 12.4 mm dynamic driver, active noise cancellation (ANC), fast charging, and support for the Nothing X app. Those are manufacturer-stated features, not independently verified measurements. CMF/Nothing’s India launch announcement said a 10-minute charge could provide up to 5.5 hours of playback; treat that as a claim, not a guarantee for every listening volume or ANC setting.

Business Standard reported Bluetooth 6.0 as a product specification. Android Central’s hands-on review reports SBC and AAC codec support. These connectivity details may matter if you care about codec compatibility or switching between devices, but the available material does not establish a controlled test of connection stability or dual-device performance.
What reviewers said about sound, battery, and value
Business Standard positioned Buds Neo as an entry-level option and described its experience as well-rounded. Android Central shared its own favorable impressions of sound and battery life based on its reviewer’s use and devices. 91mobiles’ review excerpt highlights ANC, dual connectivity, and a positive battery experience from its reviewer. These are publication-specific assessments, not a single consensus or lab result; fit, phone, settings, volume, and listening preferences can change the experience.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The positive value case is straightforward: Buds Neo combine advertised ANC, a large dynamic driver, app support, and fast charging in a product announced at a low India launch price. But headline specifications alone cannot show how effective the ANC is in your commute, whether the tuning suits your music, or how long the battery lasts with your settings.
Does the ₹1,999 price still make sense?
CMF/Nothing announced an exclusive, limited India launch price of ₹1,999, with sales due to begin on 26 August 2026 through Flipkart and selected retailers Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales. That figure describes the launch offer only; it does not establish today’s price, stock, or availability. Check the current listing, seller, regional warranty, and return terms before buying.

At or near that launch figure, the feature list makes Buds Neo worth a closer look if you want ANC and app support without spending much. At a higher current price, weigh them against other earbuds available locally at the same transaction price. There is no controlled comparison in the available reviews that establishes Buds Neo as the better buy over a specific competitor.
What to check before buying
- Fit and comfort: Ear shape affects both comfort and passive isolation. If possible, buy from a seller with a workable return policy.
- ANC expectations: Reviews mention ANC, but the available evidence does not quantify its performance across steady traffic noise, voices, or changing environments.
- Sound preference: Reviewer impressions are subjective. Consider whether you like the tuning and whether the Nothing X app gives you the controls you want.
- Battery in your routine: The up-to-5.5-hours-from-a-10-minute-charge figure comes from the manufacturer. Your playback volume and ANC use may affect actual endurance.
- Phone and app compatibility: Confirm that the Nothing X app and the reported SBC/AAC codec support meet your needs. Bluetooth 6.0 is reported by Business Standard, but a version number alone does not guarantee better day-to-day performance.
- Real purchase terms: Compare the price you can pay now, seller, warranty coverage, and return options—not just the launch offer.
Verdict
CMF Buds Neo look like a plausible budget choice, especially if you can find them close to the announced ₹1,999 India launch price and value ANC, app support, and fast charging. The available reviews are encouraging but reviewer-specific, and the launch claims do not settle questions about comfort, ANC effectiveness, or battery life in your use. They are worth the money only if the fit works for you and the current price remains competitive with alternatives you can actually buy.
