An archery arrow spinner is a bearing-supported tool for visually checking whether an assembled arrow and fitted broadhead appear to rotate without wobble. It is not a digital random-direction spinner, and it does not provide a numeric straightness measurement.
What an archery arrow spinner does
The Minnesota Field Archery Association’s 2010 compound-bow tuning guide describes a spinner as a rigid frame with four precision bearings set at the same height. The arrow rests on the bearings so it can be rotated while the user watches the broadhead tip for visible wobble. Read the guide.

Watch the broadhead tip as it turns. Visible movement from side to side is apparent wobble that merits further inspection; the spinner itself does not identify which component is responsible.
What a visual check can—and cannot—tell you
A spinner check is observational: it helps reveal apparent wobble, but the reviewed descriptions do not give a numeric straightness reading, universal acceptable-wobble tolerance, or quantified performance benefit. The sources therefore do not support a universal pass/fail threshold.

Do not confuse a spinner with an arrow straightener that uses a dial indicator. The Minnesota guide discusses that as a separate tool that reports bend. It also mentions a carbon-arrow squaring device as a possible follow-up when wobble is observed; that is advice in a 2010 compound-bow guide, not a universal diagnosis or current repair prescription. Choosing an arrow spinner
If you are comparing tools, check whether the supports hold the arrow steadily and whether the arrow and installed broadhead can rotate visibly without obstruction. Consider the tool’s stated materials, build, and portability, and confirm that the listing describes a visual spinner rather than a dial-indicator measuring tool. The available descriptions do not provide independent comparisons or enough specifications to rank models.
