Choose ARC Raiders if you want to scavenge, risk your haul against machines and rival players, and try to extract safely. Choose THE FINALS if you want fast team-based arena matches built around objectives and destructible environments. They are different kinds of shooters: THE FINALS is not an extraction shooter, so the right choice depends on the play loop you want.
How the two games play
ARC Raiders: scavenge, survive, extract
In ARC Raiders, you head Topside to search for resources while facing ARC machines and other Raiders. The run’s central tension is whether to keep looking for more or return safely with what you have. The PlayStation listing describes play solo or in groups of two or three; solo runs are still part of an online multiplayer game, not an offline single-player campaign. PlayStation’s ARC Raiders listing outlines the extraction setup and group options.

THE FINALS: fight over arena objectives
THE FINALS is a free-to-play team arena shooter set in virtual environments that players can alter and destroy. Its Cashout mode asks teams to unlock a vault, carry and deposit the Cashbox, then defend the Cashout Station until its timer ends. The official modes page also lists Point Break, Team Deathmatch, and Power Shift, so Cashout is not the only way to play. See THE FINALS’ official modes page and Embark Studios’ project descriptions.

This is a preference comparison, not a claim that one game is objectively easier, more tactical, or better. The official descriptions establish their formats and objectives, not a controlled comparison of difficulty, matchmaking, or session length.
