ARC Raiders Update 2.1.0 launches a temporary PvE matchmaking toggle test from October 13 at 11:00 CEST to October 20 at 11:00 CEST, 2026. PvE servers disable player-to-player damage, offer lower overall loot value and do not prioritize matching squads by size. The update also fixes issues across gameplay, maps, audio, performance and other systems, and makes the Carrion Set available in the in-game store.
What the PvE matchmaking test changes
Update 2.1 adds a toggle between the usual PvPvE matchmaking and temporary PvE servers. Embark says player feedback and in-game data from both PvE and standard PvPvE sessions will help determine whether the toggle becomes a permanent part of the game. A survey is planned after the test.

Choosing PvE removes player-to-player damage, not the threat from ARC enemies. The test notice says ARC can reacquire downed players after an eight-second grace period if it catches them moving.

What changed in Update 2.1.0
The 2.1.0 notes cover a broad set of bug fixes and adjustments, rather than a single new feature. The following examples describe notable changes; they are not the complete changelog.
Animation, audio and ARC behavior
- Animation fixes address character models appearing enlarged and stabilize vaulting on the remains of the Matriarch, Vaporizer, Hydra and Firefly.
- Outdoor footsteps that were too loud have been reduced, and melee hits on weak points now have clearer audio feedback.
- The update also includes additional ARC behavior fixes.
Gameplay, items and traversal
- Fixes address skill activation and inventory weight calculations.
- Stamina-restoring consumables now interact correctly with the Sprinting on Fumes skill.
- Grappling Hook changes improve traversal behavior and correct durability issues.
Maps, stability and other systems
- Map changes fix collision and traversal problems, improve lighting and reflections, and correct terrain issues on Pendola Pass.
- Memory use has been reduced on Spaceport, Buried City and Dam Battlegrounds to improve stability, with particular benefits on Xbox Series S.
- The official notes also list changes involving quests, cosmetics, the UI, Reward Pass, Outpost, skill tree and weapons.
Embark’s official notes do not provide independent performance measurements for these changes. The memory-use reductions are described as stability improvements, not as a quantified frame-rate increase.
Is the Carrion Set available, and what does it include?
The Update 2.1.0 announcement says the Carrion Set is available in the in-game store. It does not state the set’s contents or price, or whether availability differs by platform. Check the in-game store for current details rather than assuming the patch notes specify them.
